So why everybody is talking about the administrators at DC they need to worry about all the kids that got in trouble tonight at a party tonight alot of kids that cheer, play football, dance team, baseball team, softbal team and so on. And us parents had to be called to come get our kids! I would one like to know who bought the booze for these kids? And the parents were not even there, to my undestanding one parent works for fire department and stepdad works maybe in the law business too, these kids are blowing up facebook and twitter calling this party "PROJECTZ", also saying we learned our lesson but can't wait till next weekend. These kids do not understand what would have happened if they would have drove and killed someone, This is a disgrace to the Dyer County School and I think the kids should be in trouble many of these kids teach our younger kids in little choctaw cheer and going to state to cheer and dance for our school, I do believe is wrong and it needs to be addressed. And some that did not have to call their parents took off running. All high school kids should be held to standards when involved in a sport that would make the school proud not bring them down. So I am glad the kids mine included got caught so on the weekends he will not go get drunk and high and possibily hurt his self or someone

The parents of these kids need to know where they are and what they are doing BEFORE it comes to this! If the parents of the party house were not home.....why were YOUR kids there? Don't you parents communicate with one another regarding parties, etc? You should check with the party house parents to ensure there will be supervision. I will not let my children attend if there is not adequate supervision. Morals begin at home!

Morals do begin at home, but so many things can happen even if there is adult supervision.kids can sneek off unnoticed.peer pressure is so so bad.You can teach your children right from wrong from day one but the real test comes when they go out unsupervised. As for as one parent working for the fire dept, another maybe law enforcement, that does not make them immuned to dying. We can not hold our childrens hand every second of there lives. We can only pray that all the teaching they learned as children will pay off.

It looks as if this subject will be blew up just as the party was! The party was supposed to be ten kids to watch movies and just hang out> The glory of fb and twitter soon changed that! There were kids who had alcohol in their vehicles but there were also kids there who were not drinking! Spreading this on topix is as bad as the kids glorifying it on twitter. You people are grown ups. As parents I am sure all of us do the very best we can. I am sure all of them have learned a lesson, but I am also sure they are gonna be kids and tweet silly things. If you were not there you are probably getting the story from your child and it was probably exaggerated also. When the party got out of hand there were parents called to come address the situation but the cops made it first. It is very unfair to classify any child of wrong doing without the whole story.

I think it's a disgrace that you are wanting to punish kids that are in sports. Do you not understand that everyone does it, in sports or not? Most kids in college that are in sports and that are at State do the same thing! just because some might teach your kids in little choctaws or whatever doesn't make them a bad person. Yes, they went to a party, but do you even know if they were actually drinking or if they were just there to pick up someone else who was? YOU DON'T KNOW! Some were drinking, yes, but some were not! The kids that were drinking, that I know of, already had arrangements to stay at the house. You obvisously need a life if all you do is try to bring down kids behind a screen name on topix!?!?! LOW LIFE! You are not all of our parents', let our PARTENTS give us a punishment! Our school had nothing to do with this party! We are in highschool, we live & we learn. So did MOST of you. We did learn, we learned not to drive to a party and not to party in a subdivision. Even the cop told us that one! If you only knew what the police even said to us, you would even be more pissed. They already know we're going to do it again, it's life! kids will be kids. They will get into trouble and they will recieve punishments & do it again. No one got charged with anything, it is all left up to the parents. Obvisously if you were there and your child was there, they are no better. They apparently don't play baseball, cheer, dance, or anything in school so you're trying to get everyone who does in more trouble! Are you jealous? Is your child unliked? Unpopular? Get a life. Thanks.

Who cares is a bunch of teenagers got caught drinking? If I'm not you kid it's not your problem. Yes I am a cheerleader and a softball player? If you don't want me around your kids take them out of little Choctaws? I promise nobody cares. If your on topixs talking shit about teenagers your not setting a 'good example' to start with! Why don't you take a look at your own kids? Give them a random drug test. See how perfect your little angel really is. And yes, I am ready for next weekend! I'm doing it all over again! GET OVER IT AND MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS!!!!
Just so you know alot of people care if parents pull their children out of Little Choctaws as should you. The parents of Little Choctaw are paying a nice fee for their children to be there which helps pay for the cheerleaders costs. As a cheerleader you shoud care about your character as you represent your school to the community and cheerleaders are there to set good examples for other srudents as well as future students and cheerleaders. Point underage drinking is a crime and so is contributing to a minor and what you are doing is wrong and could potentially cause alot of harm not only to yourself but others as well. Step up realize what you're doing isn't cute or cool its dangerous and is not setting good examples for your peers or the Little Choctaws that look up to you.

That is right ya'll are in high school not collegee and not legal drinking age! And yes kids do things out of our sight we are not aware of, and as far as no charges yes a boy got taken to the McDowell center cause he did not want to call his parents and he plays on the baseball team with my son, so for your info. yes my son is liked and popular! If I am not mistaking the other baseball/football players and couple of the cheerleaders took off running through the field so they would not be in trouble. Also as far as what you do on the weekend is not none of the schools business it is you repersent a school and younger kids looking up to you!!! And as far as parents being called before it got out of hand you are wrong on that one too, I do believe the neighbor came over and asked ya'll to turn it down and callm down the last time she called the law,and yes people would be shocked to know what the police said to ya'll I believe he told a few of you ya'll better watch it cause some of you would eighteen before too long, and that if you was gonna party don't do in a subdivision. And that is really something to talk about we learned our lesson, but we are gonna do it again next weekend? And true the parents may have thought it was gonna be a small get together, but my son was told it was a surprize party for some kids and true every kid may not have been drinking but most were and got in alot of trouble so I guess you'r little "PROJECTZ" was in ya'lls eyes the big party of the year being the cops got called.

I agree that kids in sports that get caught doing wrong at these PROJECTZ or what ever they want to call should be punished by the school. Only problem with that is they should be punished equally for equal trouble. If no one has noticed it doesnt work that way at Dyer County. Depending on who you are or who your parents, grandparents, etc. are is what determines your punishment. Yes morals do start at home but when the coaches and administration of the school treat the students this way what kind of message is that sending to our kids. You cant control what your kid does when they are out of your sight. I know because i had some of the most morally sound parents in the world, and i still done what i wanted. Yes I have many regrets and it caused me alot of problems but it was my choices not my parents. Me as a parent try to tell my children from experience, but the still make mistakes. The sad part of this is the school is doing nothing to try to change this. So naturally when our children get out and do make mistakes, and they all will, their is no set punishment. Until our schools start treating all students equal they should stay out of it! When the coaches and their staffs are acting and setting this kind of example for our kids what do you expect. I have had more than one child graduate from Dyer County and over the years have seen the problem get worse over the years.

your kid was one of the ones not invited who just showed up!!! Did you not know what his plans were last night?? The parents were called before the cops were called, and that has been proven. Honey worry about yours and let everyone else worry about theirs!!! I am so thankful my kid is not scared to death to call me in this situation.

I would just like to say what a fine example you are setting, lets hide and call people out.. what's done is done, move on. punish your child to your discretion and leave it alone. the kids made a mistake and got caught. enough said. Why would you even start a thread like this? Are you wanting a bunch of drama? Was your child there and you that upset because he/she made a bad choice and you need someone to take responsibility? REALLY?

Yes we did make a mistake and we have realized that now. Our parents have punished us. But don't you think that's enough? I don't think the school should punish us too, just to make things worse. And I don't think we should get kicked out of sports because for some of us sports is a way of life and we love it. Sports are our passion and getting kicked off a team or anything to that matter for just one night is ridiculous. We have worked hard to be where we are and win and show people who Dyer County is. Yes we got a little too wild one night and the cops came. But sometimes you want to have a little fun and stuff happens. I'm just saying things should not get any worse by getting the school involved and sports.
