the short and sweet of the situation is the church has grown from 50 to over 200 in 12 years. there is no room, the church voted three years ago to look for land or another place to expand the church not shut it down .The decons didn't think it was a good idea to let the people know that some land hed come available,He has always been truthful with the church, so he got up one Sunday several weeks ago and poured his heart out and told the truth to the people. The vision was to grow so more ministry could be done not less.He said God gave him a vision to grow it and if they chose not to then his work was done there, He told the church that he would leave it to the church to decide, then the melt down happened minds ran wild and so did the devil. He took two weeks off to pray while he was gone we had a meeting and several people who do not work in the church nor give money to the church...got up and showed out it was so cold in there it made my skin crawl...he decided to leave I do not blame him the same people also made it clear they didn't want any more new people so many of us left and won't be back. The neighbor hood is bad cops were over there all the time.there are many of us concered for our saftyand the safty of our children.Bro Ronnie lived there 7 years fed the people in the neighborhood, built ramps, paid electric bills out of his own pocket. all the while his house was broke into, things stolen from his yard,He resigned because his work was done the church once a few of the people decided they knew what was best instead of God. I pray mercy on the ones who went astray,

<quoted text>Well then if you are a member like i was then you know what he said that day in the pulpit when he was telling everybody,he was actually going to stick it out until plans were made until some of the members made very harsh and insulting comments that were unwarranted about him so he decided to resign anyway, but nonetheless you can bet your last dollar that most of his faithful members will follow him where ever he goes if it's close including myself.

And just who are you to judge me for my actions or feelings,And how do you know what shape im in,as a matter of fact why dont you just walk with me in my everyday life and see how well i follow the lord, and then you judge me for my dedication to christ.

I have know Bro Ronnie and Mia for many many years. I believe that if Bro. Ronnie says that he is going to pray about something that he is a praying man and this is what he has done. I believe that he listens to our Lord Jesus to direct his paths. He is a very godly man and Mia is a very godly women and I love both dearly. I have saw Mia give out of her own pocket and buy children things that they have needed over the years. To me Bro. Ronnie and Mia are like father abarham who has many kids. I don't know what happen at second baptist but, I know one thing that God is the maker of all things and I don't believe for a min. that he will let his children suffer. Bro. Ronnie and Mia I don't know where the Lord is leading you but, you have a OPEN invitation to Church Grove in Newbern. Just be pacient and wait on the Lord and you will soor like eagles. This is to anyone who has left second baptist don't let the devil steal your joy. Bible says do not forsake youselves assembly together. Please be in church somewhere to have great fellowship with christians familys. Again Church Grove Baptist welcomes you with open arms. Bro Ronnie and Mia we have known each other forever andf Mia I love you like a sister. I will be praying for you both that you be in the will of God. Don't give up because Our Lord has you in the palm of his hand. Love Your sister in Christ.

Tryagain I do believe that you are being very judgemental and what right do you have exactly? Do you think that the preacher shouldn't have any time off? If you weren't happy with Ronnie as a pastor then chances are you will not be happy with any.

I was at this meeting on Sunday night and I didn't see anyone standing up that didn't give money to the church or helped out the church in some way. Everyone that stood up had been at that church for a while. Yes there were some disrespectful people there and cause of that members fought and left. It was the workers and leadership of the church that was severely out of line there.Bro Ronnie is a nice man and if he preaches at another church I will follow.

What exactly did he do to party like a heathun??? If you changed your membership and no longer attend the church then what business is it of yours? Yes I bet Mia stoled the computer and all of the church money and they used it on vacation! Just how stupid do you think they are?
