When thinking about the premeditation that may have gone into this murder, when Karen brought the child home plans had to be modified. Original intent was to claim she never made it home.
Exactly. The daughter coming home was a big surprise to the husband.

I don't want your "opinion" if she was there or not. I'm asking if anyone knows for sure. I was thinking there was some conversation a long time ago on here that she was at a different party other than the party that the daughter Karen picked up was at.

This leads me to think that the other daughter wouldn't have been home then.

Then again, if she was "going out all the time" like Ginga claims,(roll eyes), then why not just make it for another night. If the other daughter was home, how was that going to work out anyway?

Hey all. Que...I don't think it has ever been determined if the other daughter was home. It has been stated here that she was but I personally, don' t consider Topix a reliable source.do you?:)
Without looking, I am trying to think back and see if it has ever been mentioned in the media. Yeah, I know...not always reliable, either, lol.

It is actually an interesting thought.

Kind of sad really

Have a nice day :)

Premeditation would include not being the last known person to see Karen alive. The child's presence, no matter how anyone looks at it, proves Karen made it home from the party. The vehicle was going to be abandoned to look as if Karen didn't make it all the way home and ds could point at the Hogshooters or a serial killer or anything and anyone else that was convenient.
If the child had not come home with her mom, how could investigators proven a false statement of, "She never came home."?

It was stated that Karen supposed put on her pajamas and laid down with the sick child, but at some point put the sick one in bed with her sister.
The second daughter was going to be asleep by the time Karen made it home by herself. Karen may have been met outside once she pulled in the driveway and only after being confronted was it realized she wasn't alone.
I have never put any stock into what a ginger poster has written. I have proceeded with what is known and published about Karen. The children did not corroborate the notion that Karen stayed out all the time. It was stated by the son that there never was a day that their mother didn't wake them at 6 am. She had always been there. That doesn't mean that Karen didn't ever have evening plans. She was networking, or so it seems, trying to drum up more and more business. So evening plans were not out of the realm of possibilities. It just means that possibly someone else was responsible for watching the children. If it were someone outside of the home, there's someone who can attest to Karen's evening hours and the frequency of such.

From Preston's statement one can conclude that she was.

For all we know she could have been at the Lamb's house playing for part of the evening. Play hard, sleep hard.

Great post! I like how you're thinking with the premeditated angle. So true!

I'm talking about throughout the entire evening not just when Karen returned home. Also, putting her daughter "in the sister's bed" and putting her "in bed with the sister" could be 2 different scenarios. There's only a couple ways anyone NOT with her would know when she was headed home if she didn't alert them of such. Would anyone with 1/2 a brain (being it a psycho one or not) leave a child at home alone, chancing the child to wake up, while they drove or even walked until they met the targeted car/person at some point in order to make it look like they didn't make it home? I realize that's not how it worked out in this case with her coming home with the daughter. But I just don't see it being the way it would've originally been intended to.- More reasons of my being "on the fence" with a couple different theories.

A person willing to murder would not have a problem leaving a child unattended.
