Love this. I used to remind my kids of which one to "feed" by telling them this story. An old Cherokee told his grandson, "My son, there is a battle between two wolves inside us all.
One is evil. It is anger, jealousy, greed, inferiority, resentment lies and ego.
The other is good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, humility, kindness, empathy and truth."
The boy thought about it, and asked, "Grandfather, which one wins?"
The old man quietly replied, "The one you feed".

All along I had felt the phones held the key to this case. Of course, I was thinking more in the line of texts and call log, not a fingerprint on the battery.

Do "we"? I think there are still the same amount of us wondering "who"se they are.
#78433 Jan 26, 2013
Someone posted that to my Facebook page this morning and can be applied to this murder.
#78434 Jan 26, 2013
The application is totally undetectable so you dont have to worry about the monitored user finding it in their phone.
Ginger put this on the thread many months ago. I thought she was crazy and still do.
Read this and this will shock you. I guess she knew the smoking gun.

I have too. Technology only makes things easier for those who aren't criminals.
#78436 Jan 26, 2013
I wonder if the same post is what scared JWYWK off.

I can hear the argument already. "What does the fingerprint prove?"
A case that relies on circumstantial evidence has to be the hardest of cases to prove beyond a reasonable doubt. I'm not minding the length of time that the DA is taking in putting all this together. I think you hit the nail on the head when you suggested that the DA may have requested some outside, more experienced assistance in putting all this together. It's more common that what some might expect.

I don't think it was Ginger who put it on here. First of all, it was discussed and brought up by many other posters. Secondly, Ginger wouldn't have posted anything that would've implicated anyone that Ginger didn't want accused nor any ideas that would've pointed in a particular direction.

They should be able to somewhat narrow down who purchased it...
#78440 Jan 26, 2013
I will try to find where she posted it. She said the phones could be one reason Karen was killed.
#78441 Jan 26, 2013
I guess they forgot to take that credit card payment off of their computer.
#78442 Jan 26, 2013
Could that have been the ping trying to remove the app off her cell phone at 5?
#78443 Jan 26, 2013
Technology is only as good as the humans that interpret the results though.

I'm not minding it either other than just normal frustration that we all are probably feeling. I think with even just one little tiny piece of direct evidence in combination with a ton of circumstantial will get a conviction. Drew Peterson's case was considered circumstantial and "hearsay" was allowed. In Karen's case, let's consider some possibilities: Let's say that during the questioning or information brought forward, it was determined that one didn't know about a second one but the prints were on both or even just the one that the person didn't mention if they were questioned on what her phone number(s) were. Let's also say that Karen had received a threat via text message and she showed it to just one friend who could testify they saw it. That probably wouldn't be considered "hearsay" since the person witnessed it but "direct evidence" instead. That's only a couple possibilities but sometimes it just takes one little tiny thing like that.

Maybe when Ginger was insinuating that Karen had a second phone for the "wrong" reasons mentioning "drug deals", etc.
#78446 Jan 26, 2013
Oooopsie! Or the vendor of the product got wind of this case and provided information just like the online ammo and gun company supplied LE with in the Colorado theater shooting.
#78447 Jan 26, 2013
Yep...the automatic update. A couple of us posted that possibility as soon as that time and event was mentioned.
#78448 Jan 26, 2013
Think what you want, baby, but I know for a fact,(and no, not from the DA), the fingerprints on the battery are a BIG discovery to add to this awful murder. have a nice day:)
