Verizon Wireless Coorperate Store is not what Dyersburg needs.

This is what thay are putting in the Wal Mart parking lot across from Murphy Oil. American Cellular is being forced by the coorperate store to move into the mall or at least 3 miles away. American Cellular has all the same phones and contracts you can get at any coorperate store with better service. They have been in Dyersburg for over 20 years and Verizon is just trying to run them out so they can make the nickle instead of the employees. Support our long time friends and business American Cellular. I am not an employee there either. Just a person in the know.

Nope having a actual Verizon store means no more trips to the Jackson store for problems that American Cellular can't handle.

They're going to staff the place with Dyersburg idiots so you still won't be any better of than American Cellular. This town is an amazing place where people can't figure out how to use gas pumps or self check-outs at a Kroger store.

Have to call BS on that one. American Cellular is just a place for hayseeds and people with bad credit/no credit to pay their bill. I went in there a few years ago and they didn't even have a Blackberry data cable. I knew if they did, it would cost an arm and a leg, but they told me flat-out that they did not carry them. I don't see how a corporate store could possibly be any worse.

How do you know that all people who pay their bill there have bad or no credit? I pay mine there every now and then and my credit score is around 742 which is pretty good. However I support the new store coming, because they'll have a better selection of phones and service.

I've worked for Verizon Wireless for almost 11 years. I can honestly say that most agents I've encountered do little to no technical troubleshooting, even on phones they may have sold a day before. Also, customers are being sold used phones and not being told that is what they are buying. The plus with the corporate store is definitely on site technical help and people who (for the most part) aren't motivated by commission. I hope everyone is satisfied with the new store when it comes.

im for one and glad to get a corprate verizon so i dont have to drive to jackson American Cellular has never been helpful i have got phones there and paid more than if i would have online or in a corporate store also AC can never solve any problems i have had i now do most all of my verizon business on line or over the phone which is sad sine the internet has already stolen so many jobs. I could care less if american cellular goes out of business!! if they would have been better to their customers we may not be getting a corporate store at all.

Look at the bigger picture... More stores, more business for Dyersburg, makes our town look better and more appealing. Demand better and hopefully we will get better

I am so glad about the new store. I have wished this for a long time. I am glad someone listened and is making it happen. I want have to drive to Jackson anymore. American Cellular is a hot mess. Even the one in Ripley is a hot mess. And it is a good thing to keep the money and taxes in Dyersburg instead of Jackson.

Why is so many always negative about any new business that chooses to locate in Dyersburg? While at the same time complaining about nothing new ever coming to Dyersburg. Many good points are made in earlier comments on the benefits of having corporate store here; jobs, more taxes, better service and more options. If more of you nay-sayers would put as much effort into supporting the community as tearing it down, then we would all see positive changes.
