The colors they are painting it almost seems like Shoney's colors. I wish Shoney's would come back.

Yeah, right....they're going to spend all that money on a tempprary McD's when there's a perfectly good one a couple hundred yards down the road inside Walmart. And it usually takes 4 months or less to tear down the old one and rebuild a new McD. Get real!

we need a Golden Corral. That place is AWESOME and they have a little of everything. We had one back in the 80's but I believe it would do well if they put one in. I might be wrong, but I heard it was in the old Catfish Galley building before it became Catfish Galley. If Golden Corral wouldn't do well here, then Dyersburg really is sad, and yes, Shoney's should come back. I bet it would do better the second time around.
Yes, that building was originally a Golden Corral. But at the same time that one was open we also had a Bonanza and a Western Sizzling all operating in Dyersburg. Now that the other 2 cheap steak places are gone, GC just might be able to make it. I doubt it though, Ryans, the chain steak place behind the mall (where Shogun's is) couldn't make it and the economy has gotten worse since it closed.

Ryans closed because one of the men who owned the franchise died and left all his affairs in a mess. The group owned several of them that all closed. There was no shortage of customers at Ryans. It was always busy.
