You are missing the point entirely! You are using straw -man arguments, which are fruitless. The issue is ONE DOJ official being able to decide on his/her own who to target for killing! No court is involved, no Congressional oversight, nothing.

One person just decides that the American citizen can be killed based on their information- which can be flawed. Remember how liberals & Democrats complained about Bush & WMD's? Bush and others went with intel from the CIA. But Bush was still accused of "lying".

Now, you are actually saying one person can give the okay to take out an American citizen(s). Deal with facts & not straw men!

It is amazing how the liberals refuse to deal with the actual memo that was leaked. The same memo that has the ACLU, and other liberals and Democrats demanding answers. I have no problem with Obama killing terrorists. BUT I do have a problem with one individual in DOJ being given the authority to give the okay to kill an American citizen by a drone!

If the citizen is engaging in terrorist activities then what's the problem with acquiring a court order, as Bush was required to do? Why is it that the same things that Democrats demanded Bush do are not needed now that Obama is president?

If a citizen is engaging in terrorism then get a court order (these are special courts set up). It can be done quickly and w/o any compromise of secrecy. This allows a measure of safety so that an innocent person isn't killed.

But apparently you folks who disagree think that Obama and his Administration are perfect and can't make mistakes.

I do believe in due processs....However, how do you get a court order when the suspected American terrorist is in another country and what happens when they leave that country.....get another court order??? Also, how does an American court order work in a Terrorist country??? I am sure terrorists are going to hand over our American terrorist for due process.......really...lol. If they are in the US they will get their due process of our court sysem......

They are hand picked and put in these positions, because of their abilities to solve problems, just for cases such as these. For hundreds of years they have negotiated for the transport of friend AND foe, of the U.S. They have also negotiated for the return of enemies of other countries, back to their homeland, over terrorist activities against their own countries, while here in our country.
I guess though, he (Obama) is having a hard time trying to get diplomats to stick their necks out. After all, what did it get Christopher Stevens and the other gentlemen?
I also don't remember the last time any one in America condoned the killing of a child. That's right, the U.S. citizen who was killed app. 2 weeks after the other 2 men, was a 16 year old boy, a U.S. citizen. Your King pulled the trigger on a child. The last time I checked, children are the most protected citizen we have. How do you justify his death? Where was his due process? He had not caused the immediate harm of any U.S. citizen.

What if they take your comments as an act of terror and sends a drone to kill you? He has had the Muslim Brotherhood at the White House for an IFTAR dinner and took the names out of the press release.

I love how you reworded what I said....I said nothing about Yemen being a terrorist country. IMO droning is safer than putting our troops at risk. No I do not agree with the loss of any life.....but maybe it is to protect us from another 9/11. I am not condoning droning ....obvious the goverment knows things we don't....there is a difference between an American Citizen and an American Terrorist.

It also guarantees the accused a right to know the charges against him.

If you really are ex military, then you as, well as he, are aware of the magnitude of the drone attacks. You are condoning his actions against the U.S. Constitution and it is twice as bad. Because you BOTH swore to defend and uphold the constitution.
It can't be any plainer, he abused his oath of office and took away the rights of three U.S. citizens, one of them a minor. He should at the very least, be brought up on charges. I don't know what should be done with you.
