You need to come to my church. We're not perfect, but we will accept you the way you are. We have a bunch of loving people who realize the importance of God's love. I imagine, at some point, every one who has ever attended a church as been a hypocrite, just because we are not perfect. But, I can promise you that if you come - you'll leave happy and feel loved and accepted. Dyersburg First Church or First Assembly of God off of E. Court St. and Broadway.( www.dburgfirst.com ) Happy Hunting!
isn't that nice we accept you as you are, sorry but that is not what Jehovah , Jesus, and the holy spirit teaches. I believe Jesus gave his words that their are guidelines coming to him, so the assembly has no guidelines for those coming in , what about faith first , then follow with repentance, what about searching scripts ,baptism,
baptism of the holy spirit? to enter in there are guidelines, so you accept gays and sexual perverts that does not have to have true repentance , that is turning away and sinning no more. what about the children in the church what if one wants to be over children to molest and rape are you going to cover them for their lies and deceivments and put a child's life in danger? satan you are still liar and still a deceiver. everybody agrees we are in the last days from what the church is doing they are bringing it home and being double minded saying if my people who are called by my name, will repent, and you know the rest of the script, he is not pleased in the last days for what is happening he is angry for what people are doing in his name. eve should have told said satan get away from me but in ignorance she committed the first sin by listening to his lies and deceivments like he knew God, or was God, just as satan does today.get out of the ministry using Jesus's name if you are not called there are guidelines there too. the word of god is full of guidelines, feed my sheep , feed my lamb , feed my sheep not the world's ways. today men like to get applause of men makes them feel powerful, what means the most to Jesus is the ones that give the glory to God knowing their rewards come later.

Oh, I get so sick of hearing ain't-gonna-be's gripe about anybody that is attempting to do anything more than they are when it comes to church. It is so hyprocitical for them to stand there and gripe about the way anybody else is living, regardless what the circumstances are. I think it is hate speech; they hate church goers and so they have to try to put them down. What's wrong with them minding their own business and leaving others' business alone. Quit trying to be so much better than anyone else, regardless if you are going to church or not. Keep your nose in your own business and leave everyone else's alone. Who cares what someone else is doing, as long as you take care of your business and are leaving others to themselves. that is the right way to live. You can do what is right if you go to church or not and should not be so resentful to those who are trying to go to church and enjoy their own circle of influence. The things someone does, whether they are attending church or not, is between them and their maker. Make it your point to stay out of it.
I know the word of God goes, you are judged by where you stand you stand where devils stand then be judged with them. why do you think he said he who loves mother , dad , daughter , son, and on more than me is not worthy of me or even be called worthy to follow him. some people don't even know how to teach their children lying is wrong the teach them the opposite. and teach them how to deceive just like they are. we all stumble and sometimes fall but we know that we don't stay there and we learn not to go back to the pig stye. as Jesus told the woman caught he forgave her but said go and sin no more, don't do it again. a warning to the woman . as he warns us about sodom and gomorah you stand with them in their sins be judged with them. I follow Jesus and his laws and guidelines are in my heart, after he put them there. I know where the line is drawn that Jesus gave for warnings to his own he didn't give them in hate he gave them in love so easy for us to follow him. Jesus didn't lie neither did he deceive by his words, his parables were spoke so they would ask and learn to ask him what they wanted to know about God.
the mysteries of the bible is for God to give, that is why Jesus said search the scripture he knows those hungry to know truth will come to him and learn to come to him, we need preachers but not those not called that only seek riches like a business. the ministry is the word of God given , NO CHARGE, given freely.

give unto caesar what is caesar's and unto God what is God's, the children of God are under no bondage to anyone any thing man or woman demands. they know who they follow and that is Jesus. Jesus held his sermons on the mountains and in the open, and he is never lived like a king as he was. he told the disciples to divide any money among the others in the ministry to provide their going into places for their keep. they gave the word freely taking no script the holy spirit led them. those that could give gave as they could. as much money that has been given throughout the history of the church there has been enough money given for the word to be given to everyone in a one to one basis. you don't send devils in the ministry to teach and preach all are suppose to be disciples called called of God not that some man tells them they are called they know because Jesus is their shepherd and he calls them by their name and they know his voice and will not follow a strange voice. they have repented from all sins they may have a thorn but nothing that would cause them to be false teachers to deceive their thorn is apparent. no perverted ways are in them, and Jesus said they would go through much of the same as he and other disciples had gone through, rejected by people because people don't know JESUS or JEHOVAH .they have repented of sins that would keep them distant from Jesus .the church is not to be a business it is a ministry not to any man's benefit, some would get out of the pulpit if they were not making it a money making business for money knowing the money doesn't matter but the souls of people is what he loves that they know the father, the son and the holy spirit. getting rich was not the ministry if that were so why did the disciples and apostles lose their lives and for teaching Jesus and truth? you hear them saying how poor they were before they started so were the disciples and apostles but which ones made money an issue to someone knowing the Lord?
man made demands are exactly that man made, not god's .

I find it some what entertaining that your name post is "truth". What you just spewed out here wasn't truth - legalism. I agree, God is just - He hates sin and what it does to mankind, but where you are completely wrong is that God doesn't hate the sinner. He loves everyone - its the sin He hates. If you are expecting people to get their lives right before they attend a house of worship your understanding of the "church" is not scriptural. We are the church. We have been commmaned by God to reach that which is lost. If we expect a non-believer to act like a believer you'll never reach them. We don't accept sin at our church - we preach the truth - but if the non-believer comes to our church WE WILL ACCEPT THEM THAT IS THE HEART OF CHRIST! Thank God He doesn't wait until were perfect to accept us!!! Right?!!! I mean He's perfect - why would he want anything to do w/ you according to what you believe? We love what God loves - He loves people. We love them enough to accept them - to give them truth - and to help their lives. You may want to reconsider your legalistic mentality - that's not God.

Malachi 3:10 is the only verse in the Bible where God said to TRY Him. And that has to do with tithing. Also in 1 Timothy 4:13 "Til I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine." definition of exhortation:a communication intended to urge or persuade the recipients to take some action
the act of exhorting; an earnest attempt at persuasion. Definiton of doctrine: teaching. So to all the church haters that think all they want is money. Guess what? Do what the Word says, and your hands will be clean. Also don't go for the crowd, go for what will be coming out of the clouds.

there was nothing said about shakespeare at all, so take your lies and your fantasy world with you. The bible has no part of your lies and fantasy. search the scriptures but if you just want to read and and not see God in spirit that is your choice and god also knows your heart those that do not belong among the fold or even with those out side the fold but are called for his purpose.

you could read job again, why would I want to go among those that are like wolves, I have been there and don't care to go there again. some God has separated them for his purpose not for anyone to know but God and the one he has called for his purpose. Some are angels some are prophets but they have a purpose for fullment known to God.
Even Judas was chosen to be the one spoken of in the old testament, did he know the day he betrayed Jesus that his purpose was for prophesies told was him? NO he did not know until after, if he read after he would have seen what the old testament told about him. so do you know those that are chosen by God from the womb for his purpose? NOT YOURS, these people give all the glory to God not for mankind to see. read what they go through, look it up it's written down.

I have been hurt so much by people in churches that it is really hard for me to make myself go. God didn't hurt me. People did.

Jesus Christ Himself was "wounded in the house of His friends." We have to forgive and try to forget what so-called church people have done to us. We won't be forgiven unless we forgive others. He told us to pray, "Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors or forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us."

Church is the perfect place for hypocrites. Maybe they'll repent and be saved.

The sad thing is they have already been saved and do not think they are doing wrong by their disrespectful behaviour in church. No one should be hurt, disrespected or insulted in church. How can we be glorifying our Lord if we treat each other in a hurtful way in church? Of course we are not perfect but there is no excuse for outright rudeness. We can and should forgive others but the hurt doesn't go away.

Hey Hurt...
I can understand where you are coming from - sorry that has happened to you. But I want you to understand that there is a difference between "Church People" and Christians. Jesus didn't care too much for "church people" Himself! Church people are religious an hypocritical. Christians are not perfect, but strive to love others and prefer others over themselves. Don't give up on the "church" because the REAL CHURCH is getting stronger and better. Come to Dyersburg First Church ( www.dburgfirst.com ) I promise you'll be loved and accepted - we would love to have you! God Bless!
