It seems the management has gotten a look at our little topic and they are not happy, LOL. Good. Someone needs to pass along to those idiots just how their plant is being run. I have the utmost respect for those hard working people over there( even though there aren't that many of them)Having to come in every day and deal with the assholes they appoint as supervisors takes a lot of courage.

Do we need a job? YES
Do we need insurance (expesive or not)? YES
Does everyone always like their bosses? NO
If you don't like the bosses, next time bid when a job comes open, if you don't get that job, keep bidding.
Will we always complain about our jobs? YES
Do we want to take pay cuts, take on more work from downsizing? No
Right now, I need a job, there are very few out there, it does not matter what companies, it doesn't matter what city or state, there are workers every where out of work.
Nordyne, no not perfect, management (whoever you believe them to be) will always be aholes, because that is what everyone, everywhere considers them, we forget they are people, if at a bar, dressed up or down, they are no different than anyone else.,
Hope company doesn't move from PB or DY, very unlikely, to much vested
Accept what you have right now
Here if you need to talk

Heather Kent was in a bad accident before Christmas I doubt that she will ever be able to return to work. She is lucky to be alive.

LOL!!! The whole staff at that plant is an embarrassment to TRUE executives nationwide. Let Judy sing-song to you, "What can I do for you today" with that Stepford's wives smile of hers. But lest we leave out the plant manager, who has the personality of a wet piece of toilet paper. Does he still cruise the bars...and women??? Get some real talent in there, it might turn the place around!

No the plant mgr is happily married and when he is not trying to keep the plant running he is at home with his wife. His personality has much to do with his concern in trying to keep people there jobs during this difficult time and he gets so involeved that he comes off like that. He really does care and is very honest with the workers

Please. He is a joke, just as the rest of the "executive" staff and supervisors are. Look, I worked there, I had a problem with one of the supervisors, and I had an even bigger problem with how that particular line was being run, so I sent word up through whoever would listen that I wanted to talk to the plant manager, Have him get off his ass, and get on a bicycle and peddle his butt down to the line. 1 day went by, 2 days went by, 3 days went by, nothing. Not only did the coward never show up, he sent the second in command( I can't even remember his name now). Of course he was duly trained in executive political BS and talked alot, but said absolutely nothing, and even worse, did nothing.

There is no open door policy, the offices are locked away so no one can get in there. The place is a joke and Aaron knows it.

omg..I didn't hear about that one. We lost touch over a year or so ago. I worked at Nordyne in 2005 until a rough pregnancy put me down. I miss Heather and I should hit myself for not keeping in touch. Thank you for the info and I will see if I can find her!

My husband works at Nordyne and I am just thankful he still has a job. With so many factorys laying people off anyone with a job should be thankful. The biggest problem I have is that the darn insurance keeps going up. And the fact that they did not get a cost of living raise this year. We have two children and I work but it is getting harder and harder to pay the bills on what little he makes there. I think they should eliminate some of the salary people that make all the money sitting on there butts and give a raise to those that get out there every day and actually work for a living. but that is just my opinion.

Nicely put, but you are correct. As with any industry or facility with an executive staff there's a certain degree of lazy white collars. They forget what its like on the other side of that desk. In due time you might see that all change around here! The "big guy" of the plant? I believe he might have been brought down a notch or two, might even soon becoming human! Who knows, he might get his hands dirty one day back there in coil fab!

To me there is ONE bright spot at Nordyne that I know for sure, that's everybody's friend, ol' Don Price, he's a good ol' boy!
