I feel bad for the victims of the Pentecostal Church, brainwashed. Especially the women. The Muslims and the Pentecostals do the same thing to " their " women.

I think I will start a Pentecostal rescue shelter for women. Women are mere breeders for these sick bastards.

Some may think you are a sick bastard or a tranvestite, but as you say, everyone has the right to express their opinion on Topix.

For some reason, Slim Harpo, I am not a bit surprised to see that you have posted something so ridiculous. I am a Pentecostal women. We don't desire to be rescued by you or anyone else.(We have been rescued from many things that cause heartache.) You mentioned the jeans and makeup....Any day that we choose, we can get those. We choose not to; that is our choice. Thank you for your "sincere concern".....

I will take Pentecostal folks any day over the hypocritical douchebag church of christ members that saturate this town. You want a cult, now the church of christ is a cult. Perverts, hypocrites, scam artists, ect. The real funny thing about that group is that they actually believe their bullsh**. They assign members to be "elders" in their crappy organization, as if that comes with some sort of prestige, LMAO. Nothing gets them off more than getting into your personal business and then threatening you if you don't conform to their bullsh**.

I don't know the person who wrote the article in the link you posted, but it is so ridiculous that it is almost comical.
I am a Pentecostal woman. I have a college degree..more than one actually, I own my own business, and I make over $70,000 a year.
I am in no way a mindless, brainwashed robot following the dictation of others!
No one 'recruited' me to join their church. I knew something was missing from my life. I searched the Scriptures and I prayed that God would lead me into the truth.
I believe with all of my heart that I have found the truth that I was looking for.
The author of your link stated that Pentecostals have to sever all ties to friends or family members that are not Pentecostal. That is a complete lie!!
I have many, many friends who are not Pentecostal. Most of my family is not Pentecostal. And we are all extremely close! Do I judge them because they do not believe the way I do? Absolutely not!! I do not judge anyone..ever!! God, and only God is the judge!
I live my life the way I choose, they live theirs the way they choose. I do not try to 'preach' to them or try to convert them. If They ask a question about my faith, I answer them..otherwise, religion is not discussed.
I honestly don't understand people such as yourself who hate and ridicule a certain faith, or certain people without understanding or really knowing anything about it.
I wonder if that is how Hitler started out.. by ridiculing the Jews?
There is so much hatred and ridicule directed towards Pentecostals, but you let someone get sick, have an accident, cancer..ect, and the Pentecostals are the first ones they come to wanting prayer. Does that mean that our prayers work better than other faiths?...No. But it does mean that people know that we will pray and help anyone! It proves that we do NOT sever ties or shun those that don't believe the way we do.
Im sure that you will twist and ridicule what I have written here..but that is fine.
When all is said is done, I am content in what I believe, I am happy, and I have absolutely no hatred in my heart for anyone. And if you were in need, I would help you in any way possible.
Can you say the same?

Not only is my brain washed...My heart is, too!=) I just got in from work, knowing that you probably made some "sad" comment, since you are the type of person that thrives on negative comments and putting those with morals down. This is not the first time that I have been confronted by you...! lol May God bless you, and may you and your heart and your brain be WASHED one day!!!! Then you can find the peace that we all have...=)

Peter preached on the Day of Pentecost.

In Acts 2, the 38th and 39th verses Peter proclaimed these words:

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call.

There is nothing cultist about obeying the Word of God.

Romans 12:3 states:
For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

Titus 2:12
Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world.

Organized religion is nothing but a cult. They are brainwashed every Sunday and Wednesday. I myself am a free thinker and prefer to keep it that way.

I've never seen anyone rolling on the floor and showing their butt in church, and I've been there for almost 40 years. You are very uninformed, an understatement of the year...
