Is it just me or is every city owned street inside Dyersburg city limits falling apart?! The city has spent all that money to make the downtown look wonderful, but the streets leading downtown are all awful! I'm glad I live out in the county, just so I can drive on good paved roads. Glad I don't pay city taxes, just to have piss poor roads, they are an eye sore and a disgrace to Dyersburg. No wonder new business doesn't want to locate here.

I can tell by the highly educated and debatable response I received, why business keeps leaving Dyersburg. Too many idiots willing to pay high taxes and receive nothing in return. Doesn't anyone care what the street department does with their budget? Because it sure isn't improving the streets. Surely, they don't spend their entire budget on salaries and repairing the holes that the water department tears into the streets?

But, it is the previous remarks made by ignorant people who obviously think they are being funny, that hurts not only topix, but everyone as a whole. Grow up and get a life. If you have nothing worth saying then shut-up please.

Lets fill the holes with the meth confiscated from the dealers then the dopeheads will get in the road to do it & they will get ran over. ther problem solved, smoother roads, good use for meth, less dopeheads, more jail space = less taxes.
