Is it ever ok to ever tell a lie. Looking for some feedback.

A lie may take care of the present, but it has no future.--unknown

and when that person finds out the truth? What about their feelings then? That's going to hurt their feelings more than telling the truth in the first place.

is it really your place to decide that person NEEDS to hear a lie versus the truth. That just is some shaky logic there. Tell the truth even if your voice shakes.

Every situation is different there are the little white lies (mom to 6yro..did u brush your teeth? Child- yes) to the'you know better lie'(woman- do i look fat? Man- noooooo) to the 'well the shits gonna hit the fan regardless' lie.... this could be anything from cheating on a diet to a cheating relationship. Is it ok to lie? Yes & No.

White lies, understood and acceptable. Other lies, to save face, cover your butt, appear grander than reality or whatever reason a person uses to justify their depeception, not acceptable.

Often a truth can be overreacted to and blew into way more. If nothing has been done wrong to hurt any situation or change anything, then its acceptable to understand the other persons way of thinking and not put them through that. Aka saving face

Catch one lie and you can never believe another word from the liar. Santa Claus and "do I look fat" I don't really consider lying. Other than that truth is the only option.

If they did something to take up for someone but instead of it making the person happy it actually pisses them off then it would be understandable for them to veer from the truth for fear of losing that person. If their intent was meant to be helpful and in no way was caniving or decietful then being angry for them lying would be understandable to an extent, knowong they meant it to be helpful shoiuld also be taken inconsideration. Talking it out and explaining that you didnt like it and yhat in the future they talk about things instead of acting to quickly is the best way to keep from losing the person uou care about over something that had good hearted intentions sometimes people try to do something they feel would help a situation and it doesn't have the outcome they expected.

Some lies are told with good intentions, but once the person that is lied to finds out the truth....well it makes the person that lied untrustworthy and respect is lost, regardless of the reason the lie was told. If you tell the truth you dont have anything to remember, a liar has to remember that lie and usually can't do it. The truth will eventually come to light, nearly always. How exactly does a liar feel when they get caught at their own game?
