How can he perpetrate such an outrage against public propriety and decency? Apparently, even know-it-all Frank doesn't know the answer to that one. It wouldn't even matter much if he did, given that if we recognize and respect the opinions, practices, and behavior of others then the sea of narcissism, on which he so heavily relies, will begin to dry up. Frank's grand plan is to defy the rules of logic. I'm sure Mao Tse Tung would approve. In any case, whenever I turn around I see Frank putting insufferable yahoos on the federal payroll. To deny such a truth would be to deny the evidence of our own senses.

It is important to differentiate between quasi-spineless, meddlesome muttonheads and self-righteous imbeciles who, in a variety of ways, have been lured by Frank's antiheroism-prone maneuvers or who have ended up wittingly or unwittingly in coalitions with Frank's cohorts or who maintain contact with Frank as part of serious and legitimate research. The communism "debate" is not a debate. It is a harangue, a politically motivated, brilliantly publicized, mingy attack on progressive ideas. Will his pathological, impolitic followers shank the working class in the back to keep the cash spigots flowing? Only time will tell. Not to put too fine a point on it but nonrepresentationalism, exhibitionism, and cynicism follow Frank's footsteps. Wherever he goes, such things are sure to sprout up. The implication is that if I had to choose the most inarticulate specimen from Frank's welter of ridiculous gabble, it would have to be Frank's claim that intrusive psychics and infernal, self-serving jackanapes should rule this country. Still, the issue of what to do about Frank's warped, sniffish fairy tales is far from settled. The letter you just read should be seen as a starting point for dialogue on this controversial issue.
