well country mart is a little out of the ordinary and it is filthy and the meat is who knows. but it wouldn't be like that if they got rid of them filthy crack head managers and cashiers.i guarantee most of them are related in some way. maybe they need to pay some of them a little more and they might take pride in their work. just saying. the so called filthy manager that i expect is the tall skinny and filthy crack head he looks like needs to be fired. i would hate to know that i owned a store that had him working there looking like that it goes to show what they expect from their store. you have to have people working there that are clean cut and dressed in nice uniforms that take pride in the work they do. hell when it comes down to it the top management in their home office needs to be fired for letting them work there looking like they do.

You just need to drive the 8 miles to Newbern and shop at Food Rite. They have the best meat around and even have a huge meat sale about every 3 months which is a great time to stock up. I've been in Country Mart to buy their hamburger at $1.99/lb which is cheapest around, but now I wait for Food Rite's meat sale which has hamburger usually at the same price. And much better quality. Plus, the store is clean and friendly. Well worth the few miles drive.

i bought a carton of orange juice once that had mold around the inside of the spout. i exchanged it. then i opened some chicken nuggets i got from the same grocery trip and a few of them had mold spots. gross! that's been a good 3 years ago too. also several months back i almost bought a block of mozzarella cheese with mold on it but luckily the cashier spotted it and i swapped it out.

well i have shopped at counrtymart several times! And i never had nothing wrong with the food i bought. But when me and my girl lived in newbern we had to shop at food rite. There food is too high and ruined i bought some pizzas and 2 boxs out of 3 where ruined and we had bought that box of like 24 ice creams varity kind and half the box were frezzer burnt. And the subway there was nasty we went to get a sub and there were flies landing on the food as the chick was makeing it she swated the fly away and i told her that she dont expect me to still eat or pay for my sub and she said it just landed on it but its gone now im like i dont care so i got a diff one and called the manager and returned the ruined food and got my money back so my point is every store is going to have some things wrong with it

Its about the best that is around here. Yes the prices are extremely high I agree but the meat is pretty good in comparison to other stores.
It would be nice to have a regular meat market here but that will never happen. Standards here are lower than most so you take what you can get.

I use to work at country mart and i would over hear the meat dept employees talk about grinding out dated meat in with fresh meat so they could resale it.. or they would change the labels if the meat had already expired.i have seen them drop meat on the floor pick it up not even rinse it off and wrap it up to sell. i don't see how the place is even open anymore.

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Aquarius

If you're a typical Aquarian you're often quite idealistic and today is no exception. You're wandering around on cloud nine, especially if you're thinking about a very special someone, and indulging in all sorts of deliciously romantic daydreams. Reality? You've no time for it right now, because it will intrude too much on your fantasies.
