It's been months since Karen's body was found. The autopsy report took months as well. Through it all, there has been no comment made by the Sheriff's office who is presumably investigating this case. Even with citizens fearing for themselves and their families that a killer is walking free, Law Enforcement refuses to provide any information at all.
For months, the public was understanding that a case was being built and justice would soon be done.

Not anymore. The public is restless. They are tired of the "no comment" stance. They want answers.

What happened to Karen Swift?

Sheriff Box, at the very least a press conference is in order. We need to know that this case is being worked and where it stands roday.

The public pays your salary and they have a right to know!

I totally agree with you. I think some funny business is going on here, what other excuse is there? Her family deserves to know who her killer is as well as the public. For all we know, we could be right next to a cold hearted killer while shopping. That is a chilling thought. The sheriff needs to quit trying to cover up and do his job, that is what he gets paid for.

all right dyer county you already know who killed her and your sheriff knew from day one. they are friends and i am telling all of you that this case will never be solved. he has covered for david from day one and has turned the focus from him to something else. i say all dyer countians need to put his ass on the street next election and while you are at it that so called mayor that has done nothing for your city since being elected. all he has done is get fat and lazy. wake up dyer county before its to late.

I am not one that voted for Jeff, but I do have law enforcement in my family, an for them to tell it Jeff an the TBI are doing everything by the books an making sure they have every possible detail so the suspect doesn't walk. They have guidelines to go by, an if in court they don't have 110% proof who committed the murder they could walk free. If after that the evidence comes in the suspect could not b tried again for the same murder. It's double jeopardy. Look it up. So let the law handle this the way they need to so this person never sees daylight again. No matter who the sheriff is they have to go by the same laws an guidelines.

You're an idiot! And unless you were there that night you don't know either. So come on GUEST, do you have something to tell all of Dyer County, were you there that night and could it possibly be YOU that we are awaiting an arrest on? Sounds ridiculous doesn't it but so do you! Before you start whining about me being a friend or family of the husband just let me say that I don't know him or his family but I do know that EVERYONE is innocent until proven quilty and until you know for sure who did it you should keep your nasty accusations to yourself if for no other reason than for those precious babygirls. They are dealing with losing their mother and right now they need their daddy and it really doesn't matter what you think!
