This place shown on the front of the paper may be 'a place of business', but it is also the first thing you see when coming into Dyersburg on 51. I would say, put a fence up where you can't see this. It's ugly looking. I'm like the poster above, my yard is not full of junk but the man across from me is. It's not only an eyesore but becomes more than that in the summertime with snakes and the like.
People in this area care so much about how things "look" and care so little about how things actually are.

Like most people, you seem to be confused with the difference between capitalism and corporatism. Capitalism is a GOOD thing! How can a FREE nation survive without it? You really need to think on a much larger scale!
You believe you're actually free in the United States? Interesting.

Only a fool would believe that. Just trying to point out how you & many others are being lead to think that capitalism is a negative thing. Small Companies & business owners aren't the ones with all the money & power nor using their influence to lobby our government & bribe political parties...jmo

You are right on target. First they test the public to see how far they can push, then they try using force and bluff. They can be taken to court and beat. They also can be voted out for not treating the citizens right. The next ones in will understand what happens when they abuse their citizens.

On the contrary. Capitalism in a just and moral society is the ideal I suppose. Capitalism is not inherently evil. Men inject evil.

My point is a capitalist society dominated by the greedy and/or power hungry is no better than a communist society. It's the same end. We continue sliding down a slippery slope. No one appears to be able to correct it.

If men no longer follow God's laws the economic system they employ will not be relevant. Love our neighbor? I'm not seeing much of that.

I've had a car in my yard for four years and nobody has said anything. I wouldn't worry about it.

Instead of trying to find ways around it you should either scrap the car or sell it. Stop cluttering up the yard. I promise the neighbors don't like it when you do that.

It's my property and my car which makes it none of the neighbors business. Besides, I'm sure my car doesn't bother them near as much as their kids bother me running around the neighborhood screaming like wild animals.

I was told this evening that I could not have a non tagged vehicle on my property. My grandson who is saying with me, just turned 18 his dad bought him a nice Ford Exployer. I want him to work for the money for tags and insurance. They best keep their nose outta my yard and go hunt some crimminals.

Why would you keep a non-running vehicles in the first place?
My transmission went up. I can't afford payments for another car. So if I drop my insurance/tags for time takes pull money together ( by not paying tags/insurance ) get car repaired. Pensions don't leave much room for any kind of emergencies.

you are damned if you do and damned if you don't. IN DYER COUNTY.
Keep voting for republican leadership, lmao.

They say they are anti tax but they are really only against taxing rich people. There is a reason TN is always top of the lost for poverty and corruption, reap what you sow.

I feel this is just another way to take money from its citizens and intrude on their rights on their own private property. Will they be trying to tell you how you must arrange your livingroom furniture next? This is not Russia. This is the good ole USA. I say leave the law abiding citizens alone and spend your time going after the crimminals! But, that is more dangerous, isn't it? How far will they push before people stand up for their rights? Daniel Cobb is already not very popular because of the way he appears to push Dyer County citizens around on their own private property. People need to remember this on election day. I appeal to our county commisioners to make sure time is spent serving its citizens, not harrassing them!
That's crazy
