Three years starting 0-5 in SEC play, only Vanderbilt has done that before.

Time to move on in Knoxville.

Been a Vol fan all my life. Seen ups and downs.Dooley is a good guy but not the coach for Tennessee. He's had very good players and didn't win Has very good players now and still can't win .Our main problem with Dooley at UT is we will not get any 5 star players or blue chip players to recruit. You gotta have talent and we will not get it,Hoping someday to see Payton Manning in orange on the sidelines for real. Hopeful thinking. We do need a new coach.

You could be right . Peyton might consider Tn. after he retires or contract is up. He really don't need the money and saw where he bought into PaPa Johns pizza ,so he could come at a good price. Thats way down the rd ,but we need a change now. Heard Grodin might be interested Any suggestions or comments .Tired of losing .

Peyton has stated many times that he has no interest in coaching and, in fact, thinks he would make a terrible coach.

Gruden being paid 4 million by espn and is still making 4.5 from tampa bay for one more year. Tenn. would have to pay the 4.5 to tampa but gruden would only make any additional amount paid by ut. ut has 5 million per yr. available. So instead of 9 million total, Gruden would make 5 million if he left espn to coach ut. He's not gonna forfeit 4 million to coach ut. Plus, he's promised his daughter he would not move her prior to her graduating high school. She's a soph.

I wonder why john chavis has never come up as a head coach potential. One of the best def coordinators in nation. Just saying.

Keep Dooley one more year. If he doesnt improve then can him. He could possible go 8-5 this year with a bowl win but next year he needs to improve and beat a top teir team, Geo, SC, Hiss St. or Fla.
Bama is out of everyone's league but will cycle some day. It all stsrts ar recruiting

Sorry buddy. You are misinformed. Tampa bay has already finished paying Gruden and even if they hadnt Tenn would not owe them a dime. Gruden was fired. Teams are not obligated to pay anything when someone is fired. That is a breach of contract on their part. However, we are talking about going from pro to college, which there isnt any financial obligation for this process. Also, teams only owe when an amount is left on a contract for a PLAYER and they are traded.... you cant trade coaches. Plz inform yourself better.

Bobby bowden isnt going to coach at tennessee. Neither is gruden. Tennessee has two options. One, fire dooley and pay him what is left on his contract... this is not a good move, seeing as tennessee is still paying Philip fulmer also. Two, let dooley finish his contract and then search. Now, if they do fire him, mark my words, the replacement will be Charlie Strong.

Can't believe Dooley let the clock expire Sat ,with enough time left(47 sec+ 2timeouts)to win the game. Waited for overtime and lost . Total lack of control and lost all respect of Vol fans. I say look now for a new coach . Might as well keep him til season over but enough is enough. WE will never be a contender as long as he is here .

If you keep him day after day the more frustrating it becomes. I say get rid of him today.

Charlie Strong is a no go. Louisville will pay him any amount of money to stay. They may not be able to spend as much as Tennessee, but they are more willing to spend what they do have.

Nope, Volquest is reporting that he should be out. More or less that they are expecting Tennessee to dismiss him. Nothing is official yet.

Really doesn't make any difference whether they keep him or not. The players left the field Sat.not caring.Dooley threw them under the bus and drove off.The players will only go thru the motions and we probably will lose the rest of the way out. Hell bring back Phillip ,can'y get much worse.
