Thanks to a great Dyersburg person. Deloris Hearn donated $500,000.00 to the new library. GREAT!
We get it! How many times are you going to point that out! The woman donated the money, it was nice. Other people have donated money too and haven't plastered it everywhere!

Almost all of the people using the computers at that library are perverts. I saw one on some kind of hookup site.

At least it gives the poors something to do.

I understand why the library is moving. The old building has handicap accessibility issues and there are problem with leaks and such. I still hate to see the old building abandoned. These older buildings had style and character as opposed to the box style sameness of modern buildings. I hope they find a use for the old building and do not tear it down.

You want to replace a woman that's been there for years and knows the library inside and out and bring someone new in just because she doesn't have the right degree? Seriously? So what's your grudge against this library? It's obviously a new one or you would know the answer to some of the questions you asked already. It's been in the paper where the library is moving. Did they even win the Pepsi refresh money? Because I haven't seen anything about them winning. I think they've made you mad for some reason, or you got passed over for a job or a raise or something, and now you have some vendetta against them. Sharon is a very sweet lady. I can't speak for the rest of the people working there, because to be honest,, wouldnt go back agianthey all seem rude. But Sharon? Never. She is always helpful and friendly and she knows the library top to bottom. Go find some other cause to take up, because you obviously know nothing about this one.
yes get rid off the old bitty, bring in someone with a degree and education with up to date experience in the education field and new ideas and energy---it is time she goes!!!! Fresh educated face and ideas---old tommy cribbs and lanier days are gone!!! Get friendlier younger people that are educated--then maybe it wont smeel like an old folks home--may sound rude, but it is the truth. have taken my children there, wouldn't go back again, the old age is obvious and rather stifling. Please mayor Holder, replace these has beens with energetic people who have fresher incentives---that comes with education. get rid of the dinosaurs!!!! It is time!!!!! They need to go, they don't meet the need for the younger generation. My husband and I along with three children just transferred here---very disappointed with the public library. Since they did not know my children and myself, we were treated as if we were a bother, very rude. but once they realized my husband was a doctor, their whole demeanor changed!!!! This should not be the case!!! Everyone should be welcome to the library, not made feel like it is a bother to the employees or that they are doing you a favor. do they not understand or realize, my expensive (farms) property tax are helping pay their salary? I want replacements and I will bring this up at the next rotary meeting!!
