I heard from a friend that he lost his job at Captain D's because they were shutting their doors. Does anyone know if they are indeed closing? I don't eat there anymore but my grandparents do every week.

captain D's does a very good business, I would say the guy that got fired is just trying to start a rumor, the people at captain D's have always seemed very nice, he probably just did not work out so they let him go.

Nope, Captain D's has been really struggling and does not have a good business. If they are shutting I would not be surprised. I hate to hear it though. I love eating there.

OK, I have to say ,I was wrong lol looks like they are shut down, that is just hard to believe because they was so busy on sat and sundays it seemed like they should have been ok,it just goes to show it is really hard to keep a business going these days, sorry to see this happen.

Yep I saw it today. Everything is boarded up and even the sign is down. Wonder what happened? I wonder why they didn't let people know with a sign or something.

I think part of it could be their location. They are in a great part of the city, but it was so difficult to get into and out of the parking lot. I know I liked to eat there, but I hated fighting the traffic right there at Wal-Mart. It was like a demolition derby at some times of the day!

Well chic-filet is coming and captian d's is gkoing we just can't win here in Dyersburg. I hate to see them go I liked to go there and they were always so nice and the food was served fresh. See we cannot grow here in Dyersburg we were getting another restaurant and now we lose one. I don't know what is wrong with this town.

Captain D's came here to Dyersburg shortly after Shoneys, I think back in the 70's when Dyersburg was in a growing spert when I-155 was opened. Dyersburg and Dyer County businesses and industry is going to have to grow before it can support any more restaurants and stores. With this economy and so many out of jobs and taking pay cuts and hour cuts they can hardly afford to eat out too often. This community needs jobs to support these restaurants and retail businesses in town. Something will open up in that location but how long it will last is anyone's guess. Just remember how many restaurants have come and gone in the old Shoneys building, now Cruisers.

Does anyone know how or where one can get a job application for the new Chick-fil-A in Dyersburg?

They need to shut Cruizers down with their sorry food and worst service in town!!!! If the waitresses paid as much attention to their customers as they did their black boyfriends that sit in there and watch them to make sure they aren't flirting....then they might be half way decent
