I wrote a very detailed post (not created a thread, just a post) about an encounter I had with Dyersburg Regional Medical Hospital and it was removed. Personally I do not get on here often and after seeing that my post was removed it really beg's the question of the legitimacy of this forum's credit.

I'm going to write in length once again my experience with DRMH.

;; ''

I visited the hosptial because my heart rate was around 208-220 and told the lady at the desk that my heart was beating hard and she bascially dismissed my issue and told me to take a seat in the waiting room after taking my insurance information. So I sat down and after two-three hours of waiting I couldn't take it anymore, I told them that I was having a heart attack and they acted quickly to get me into a room and hooked me up to an EKG.

After entering the room and the EKG wires were unhooked from my chest (mind you my heart rate was still 200+ the entire time) they told me to wait for a doctor. I waited for five to six hours in that room (unknown to me it was a severe panic / anxiety attack) and I started pacing back and forth from the bed to the door. I asked several times to see a doctor because my heart was beating so hard and a nurse came to me with a cop beside her and said "if you don't calm down we're going to put you down".

More time had passed and a doctor walked in, he grabbed my chart off of the wall as he opened the door, read into it for about thirty seconds and told me I was having an anxiety attack then walked out. Five minutes later a nurse walks in with a book full of stuff about how Dyersburg Regional Medical Hospital, two pages contained information about anxiety / panic attacks and the rest was about how amazing their facility was. I was asked to fill a survey out about the service that I received there and I wrote a in large letters "I thought I was going to die and it took you to 3am to get to me" and the lady at the desk threw it away.

If this post is deleted, I suppose the lawyer that contacted me about malpractice will get a call back. Know this, If I am ever having a heart attack, I will CHANCE the trip to Jackson General before I go there.

A fast heat rate is not a sign of a heart attack, they told you that.

Go to Jackson next time, and you will get the same treatment you idiot.

No, you should get a grip on reality. Nobody cares about panic attacks. The ER is for emergencies, not fools who lose their grip on life. Get over yourself.

You honestly expect someone to believe that embellished and completely FABRICATED story? Not only do you sound like someone who lacks any sense at all, but you sound like you may have an underlying psychiatric history. I do beleive that some adverse events have occurred at that hospital, and EVERY hospital for that matter, but this is RIDICULOUS! Any attorney who talks to you will discover that they will have NO CHANCE at a legitimate malpractice suit because of your ignorance! Good luck having someone believe your blatant lies!!
