A car or truck pulling out in front of a bike is about the same as a car or truck pulling out in front of an eight-teen wheeler...........

Only one person came on here and finger pointed. Everyone else has just responded to that and expressed their feelings about the tragedy and/or the weak DUI laws. Except for the person that tried to blame the victim in this tragedy, no one has "rehearsed" this incident. Of course, we are all praying for the families but we are also grieving and upset ourselves over a senseless, preventable tragedy that took the life of a good man. You cannot expect people that lost a loved one to sit back and keep quiet when others throw the first stone. You automatically defend those you loved.
ANY family with a lose should never come on this site to see anything because most of the time there will be someone that says something mean or neg.

Man pleads guilty to vehicular homicide in '10 crash

Thursday, May 24, 2012
Dyersburg State Gazette

Cannon
A Dyersburg man pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide in the June 2010 fatal crash that took the life of a popular motorcycle enthusiast.
Kim Cannon, 51, was sentenced to eight years with the Tennessee Department of Corrections after pleading guilty last week to the vehicular homicide of Chuck Holland in Dyer County Circuit Court.

The wreck took place on Saturday, June 26, 2010, on East Court Street near Hawthorne Avenue at approximately 6:09 p.m. Holland was traveling westbound on a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle with several of his friends. They were returning from helping at the Special Olympics in Gibson County when Cannon, traveling eastbound in a 1995 Chevrolet pickup truck, reportedly crossed into Holland's lane causing severe injuries to him. Holland was airlifted to the Med in Memphis where he passed away on Tuesday, June 29, at approximately 11:40 a.m.

Cannon was initially charged with DUI and was indicted by the Dyer County Grand Jury on the vehicular homicide charge.

Holland was a respected member and past director of Mid-South Riders, a local motorcycle club known for their charitable contributions to the community.

Why bring this up now? Some things need to be left alone. We should pray for both families that are living without a husband/father/son/ brother.
