He didn't die for me. I wasn't even born when the supposed event happened. So big fail there. But keep trying. This is fun, like throwing peanuts at monkeys.

I find it laughable and sad at the same time that so many people who are suppose to be reasonable intelligent still believe in all of this "going to Heaven to see God in the afterlife" nonsense (BS).

Do you people ever think for yourself? Try a little logic and common sense and you will see how ridiculous your beliefs are.

However... I do find discussion like this and many others very entertaining. They all prove to me everyday why I am an Atheist.

Today you're called "atheist". Tomorrow you'll be called "normal".

<quoted text> god has always been there. Listen to yourself. Do you think you just appeared out of nothing? No he made you. You are a miracle. So If he just appeared so did you. You need to know Jesus died for you and you can not even respect that or believe it. You will find out the hard way. Buy a bible and read it. You better start learning the truth. And yes I do care about all the people that are going to burn in hell. This world will be destroyed with fire, just as it was destroyed by water the first time.
.

Just to let u know, I do believe in god. I just don't know why it has to be such a debate about it. And why someone who does not believe cares what I think. I do not care that they do not believe, nor am I gonna call them stupid or say they are going to hell. That is not my place to judge others. And I don't care what anyone thinks about me I do and always will believe.

LMAO ... So much for a "perfect" god.
So let it be written. So let it be done.

I doubt that the world would be better of if everyone believed in God because historical evidence runs counter to that argument. Even the Christian God had numerous atrocities commited in his name and even had a hand in a few of them himself. If he was wasn't the offender he was at the very least an accessory. Belief is difficult to compehed for some but those of us who grew up in church have the benefit of seeing both sides. I think you can look at Pascal's Wager and determine, at least in part, the faith of some people. It basically states that if there is a God and you believe then the reward is an eternity in paradise. That's a pretty convincing argument. The downside is an eternity in Hell, again pretty convincing. The wager states that if you do believe you get paradise and if don't you go to Hell. So that if you are wrong and you believe your only loss is few sundays and a few pleasures depending on your religious bent. If you have nothing to lose and everything to gain by believing then it would be to your benefit to believe it. However, just being aware of the argument makes you suspect if your trying to get into heavan nad won't affect anyones actual beliefs one way or the other.

There is no God... and anyway you are asking a question that will probably never if ever be answered.

god is real but it is not a spritual being. It is a race of beings from another world. They are going to return and they will judge us but it will not be as expected

Can we go ahead and put God in the same category as Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny?

No, because the legends of Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny don't include human sacrifice or drowning babies while having a conniption-fit.

So then it doesn't matter to you whether it's true or not. You're just going to believe what you want to believe because you want to believe it.( face-palm!)

Incredible.

That works both ways now..... so to answer your question.... YES... I am just going to believe! Just like YOU ... are going to choose just NOT to believe.
Does it offend you, or ... hit a nerve that others may not follow your beliefs? I know it doesn't bother me that some may not follow mine.......
so........

A cross will remain in my yard and NO ONE will ever have the right to have me forced to take it down.

Wrong, "Betsy Wetsy". Unlike you, I understand that actual belief isn't a matter of will, but compulsion. One doesn't simply get up one day and decide that they're just going to believe something unless they're an idiot. You on the other hand say you "choose" to believe something which means you don't really give a damn if it's true or not. You just "want to". It isn't my fault you don't understand the things you say.

BTW: Nobody really cares if you have a symbol of torture in your yard. However, your reason for having it there,*by your own confession*, is ridiculous.
