It comes down to what kind of character the people have that the management is renting to. If they drive a crappy car that leaks oil then that says that they don't have a real good job and can't afford anything better or they mismanage their money. Most folks will drive a nicer car if they can afford to. Not everyone that drives a crappy car are bad people though. Sometimes thay have fell on hard times, through no fault of their own, like layoffs or medical problems. If they have trash falling out of their door, then that does speak to their character. They are most likely the type of people that don't care about damaging their apartment. The people that have their stereo bumping when they drive in and out don't care if they bother anybody, and that tells you that they probably don't take care of their apartment either. It really is managements fault. They need to do better background checks before they rent AND they need to enforce rules. If people are disturbing the neighbors then they need a couple of warnings and then you are OUT! They also need to spend time and money doing maintenance. That will draw a better type of tennant if they get that place back up to the standards that they had years ago. People that don't care about their apartment and don't care if they disturb others also don't like being told what to do. If management keeps getting on them, they will move on there own most of the time.

It is not section 8 - it is people you think would never do these kinds of things!
I agree not everybody that's on section 8 does these things. I have seen alot of people that dont qualify for sec.8 destroy properties. It all depends on the individual and being on section 8 doesn't have anything to do with it. Why are people so judgemental when it come to sec.8?

Because the majority of section8 tenants DO destroy the property. Why do you think there is a 2-3 year waiting list for that program? If the people are so great, then why aren't property owners lining up their properties to be put on the program?

Obviously maintenance was about the only thing you were good at( if you say so) because you know nothing about the fair housing act. On paper, it looks wonderful, but in reality, landlords know how to skirt around it and have been doing it since its inception, and will continue to do so.

Go over to Posthouse and apply for that job as maintenance. That guy is so lazy! The woman that "runs" it just great and goes out of her way to be helpful but he is a lazy jerk! She has to get outside help all time to get things fixed.

I lived there for over 8 years. Everything was extremely clean and quite. New management can in and allowed five vacant unit to be occupied by section 8 tenants. The new management wasn't from this area and had no care as long as he filled the empty units. Your credit score had to at least be 712 to qualify. When they allowed section 8 to move in, myself and several other families moved out. Because they would not monitor their kids, honor curfew, supervise the pool, tennis court or the club house. The put up portable basketball goals and allowed their kids to say out in the parking lots all night long with no regard to the working class people there. Its not that they are section 8, its that they refuse to do the right thing when it comes to their children supervision.

Wish I could help you out on getting corporates number. I believe that 1 or 2 people own this property and they do not live locally. I lived there for a while. The manager does all she can considering the amount of work she has to do. The maintenance man has a horrible attitude.

PostHouse needs some owners that want to put $ back into restoring the property.

I was recommended to come to the Posthouse. I have been here over 2 years. The manager is friendly and so is maintenance, until work is involved. The manager is never in the office during the hours of operation posted. The emergency Maintence number given on the voicemail for after hours service will not be answered, nor will the call be returned.
The pool is supposed to be for residents and their guests accompanied by the resident. But here... Anyone is invited. In the summer there's loud parties in the parking lot where cars are vandalized, managers son friends. Tennis court lights will stay on well past the "curfew". Maintence issues won't get accomplished in a timely manner whatsoever. So good luck if your AC goes out in 99 degree weather and you've got animals.
If and when you are able to get ahold of the manager about an issue, it will seem as if you're being a huge inconvenience to their schedule, especially if you call after hours... Even though they probably left early anyways. Their is no relationship built with the tenants at all. I've been living here for 2 years and my name isn't known.
Overall performance- poor interpersonal skills, careless attitudes reflects on properties downfall.
Personal level- great people.
Professional level- lazy and careless.
Keep in mind there's never just one person to blame:
Tenants could be damaging property quicker than they have the funds to replace. With that being said- I'm sure they have the authority to do something about it. Like kick them out.
Corporate I'm sure has them on certain quotas they have to meet or tenants filled in the complex, budget for each month and so forth.
Managing a property I'm sure if tough. Maintaining it I'm sure is too. But if you can't cut it- quit it. Plain and simple. Because the fact is the Posthouse Apartments is ultimately literally crumbling because the lack of care that was entrusted from the superior corporate directorates.

If you are talking about the black girl that runs the place she is a thief. She treats the old people like crap. I don't know her name but she moves in her friends that sell drugs for a living then she collects a fee for them to have a place to live.
