The best reason to not trust the cult of christianity is because it's a giant load of superstitious bronze-age horsesh!t.

Agree... it's all either a hoax or it's based on worship of the sun or it is all symbolic... actually all three or take your pick.

Yep. And some people obviously don't realize we've advanced a little since the dark ages.

You say the Bible is not a guide to Christs teachings. Just curious then what would you even know about Christ to list all your reasons?

What would you know? Not what you "believe"; what you "know".

You are correct that if the Bible is not true, Christianity is worthless. But how can this argument be taken seriously? Over 31,000 versus of pure truth that have been debated for centuries are to be questioned by 20 half baked thoughts of yours. Are you and your sources more trustworthy? If so, please write 66 books that lay out a comprehensive explanation of your world view and we will compare that to the Bible. What do you think?

Do those 31,000 versus of "pure truth" include the ones that are demonstrably false too? Just wondering.

Half of your reasonings or more, are descriptions of human beings. Not Christianity. Those rants you claim to be Christianity is naive. Try looking at things in all directions. Not just that of a non believer. Try being a believer.
For example. Do you believe in right or wrong? If so that's a belief. That's morals and that's believing in sinners. We are all capable of good and bad. And we all tend to dabble in them both. Which is why it says we are all sinners. Yet some dip into the bad pool more than others. Are Christians saints? Umm no. Do we sin. Umm yeah! Do we dabble in the bad pool from time to time. As much as many Christians might want to believe they are awesome for god. We all make mistakes to learn from. We all have reasons nearly every day to ask for forgiveness. You might not be worried about where your soul goes when ur bones burn or go in the ground... But many Christians do. And I don't see how that hurts you. Is it really so bad for a Christian to reach out to you and say hey god loves you. Umm might just be words to you but this isn't kindergarten and we aren't playing I'm rubber and ur glue and their words aren't going to break ur bones. So what if someone wants to believe what they read. People believe what's on tv... People read all the time.
As for the bible... You took history right? Must not have been ur subject cause a lot of history is from the bible. A lot of history is based on the firm belief of the bible. The bible is one huge history book. And the reason it's written the way it does is to preserve so much of its origin. So many people say its a collection of stories put together that could be fabricated. Well this isn't an example of telephone. Seriously! A lot of history is based off stories. Yes many people tend to go back and fact check the stories by finding scientific findings. Ask Indians and kingdoms how they pass along their history. Each line of a families history is passed down through stories. So every story said regarding say your history should we call you a liar? Or I doubt it really happened that way. Man the things that have happened since before Christ or around the time of him... If that makes you wonder in belief... Well look at the world you live in now! There are so many more horrible things and miracles than there ever was. Back then. It was easier to keep track back then the population was as huge. But now that its so big you don't know the miracles that happen if it was at a neighbors house or two blocks away.
How about when your filled with the Holy Ghost and all you wanna do is just jump and dance. People think that's just crazy. Well ever been so excited that ur favorite football team won Super Bowl and u jump up and do a little dance and ur just so overwhelmed in excitement that you couldn't believe you just did that? Or you meet someone what gives u butterflies and u get so giddy u do a little dance of excitement or you get a promotion at work. Well that's dancing with the Holy Spirit. It's a huge burst of excitement that fills you up and all you wanna do is just shout it from the rooftops and dance ur little happy dance. Cause it's a cool feeling knowing your right with god!

Try being a believer first try doing real research. Not what you get from a bad experience from a small town church. Yes there are small minded people out there. They judge and can be harsh and gossip or prideful in their beliefs and they aren't open. That's called struggling with god. They might believe they are right with god. But they still have lessons to learn. And that doesn't mean all Christians are that way. And it doesn't mean they are bad christians either. It just means they are human and they have their whole life to work on their heart with god, just like u and me. Some people take their time and some just rush right in and get started working on it. But not every message preached at church is a lesson for you. And sometimes we don't listen to that message and what we don't realize is well it would be a lesson one day. One day we will need that lesson. My point to that was... Not every Christian that goes to church knows the bible. If u read every book in the bible one book a month that would take about 5 years. That's a long time. And so keep in mind when you try to hold a conversation about god and Christianity they aren't going to know all the bible verses or all the stories or all the lessons. Instead of slamming them for it. How about you invest in five years and real study. And see what all you remember after reading it the first time. It's not like reading Harry potter and you got the story. This is like having 50,000(exaggerating) Harry potters in one book. It's not easy to remember it all. That's why preachers have to go to college. They have to really learn and invest much study in how to preach about the bible. Just like a professor has to about a subject you don't know.

Wow.....All that emotional appeal just to continue excusing the belief in a bronze age superstition. What lengths some people won't go to, to bolster their delusions when all they really have to do is provide some verifiable evidence.

Who cares? These atheist people are just as bad, if not worse than the southern bible thumpers. Their main point is not for the sake of reasoning but to offend. If you don't think Christianity is real, then so what? Why do you take time out of your life just to try to prove it wrong? I don't believe in captain crunch but I don't care enough to preach it to the masses. We as Americans have the right to believe what we want. You wouldn't want someone trying to take a freedom from you. Grow up you kid.

What's even more ridiculous is no one ever rips on Buddhism, Islam, Wicca, paganism, Sikhism or any of the other hundreds of religions. Only Christianity. How moronic is that?
