“That tells you right there something's working”
The confusion over the new roundabout has subsided since it opened seven months ago, with just two or three accidents. via Post Tribune

all this is telling you is that people know that complaining will not help. Most people go out of their way, so they won't have to use the roundabout.

The roundabouts are a great idea. If you give it a chance and not approach the issue with a closed mind you'll appreciate them. They're safer than normal intersections and provide a more steady flow of traffic. I've used them extensively in Europe and it took little to no time to get used to them. After you have them around, you'll wish you had more. A cautious driver should have little problem adjusting... and if your not cautious, then you'd have problems at a normal intersection regardless. Build more of them, IMHO.

Sorry, but the Roundabout is just plain stupid planning. I'm not intimidated by it and I **do** know how to drive, but it's really a poor bit of road planning.
Face it, the average driver in this country is challenged by anything more difficult than a traffic signal controlled intersection. Putting something like the Roundabout in a town comprised of way too many people who can't even handle simple city street driving is just asking for trouble.
But it LOOKS so pretty!! I'm sure that's what really counts to the Valpo city fathers.
