Just to let everyone know how ignorant bench warmers is. Ive been goin there for 12 years now. I was there 2 weeks ago, for 45 min, had 3 drinks an they charged 75 dollars to my debit account. I called an complained an I was told that this is there policy. They take it upon there selves now to charge u 75 dollars as soon as u give them your card. Its been two weeks an I still dont have my money. It just says pending on my account. They never told me they were charging me, an when I signed for it, the bill was correct at 9.95. So were did the 75 come from?? Screw bench warmers, an me nore any of my many friends will ever go there again. And I will tell every one about there litte sceem! Thiefs!!!! Outa all the bars ive been to, downtown chicago included, never has one of them done this. Screw U Bench!!!

I had the same thing happen to me, but it was resolved quickly. I went to my bank explained what happened and they reversed everything, I recall it only taking a few days. The banker at Chase told me that many bars use this tool to test the card availability, but this happens when the account is not properly closed out at the end of the transaction. Good Luck!

Kilroys is the same way. It's a place where middle aged men and women go to try to relive their youth surrounded by young adults that don't want to grow up, but think that life is a 24 hour party. I never understood why that place was so popular with people over the age of 30 years old. Any reasons?

Maybe if people wouldn't run out on waitresses before they pay - bars wouldn't need to pre-charge your credit cards. They do this at hotels to make sure people don't walk out without paying. Bench Warmers is a good place to go see friends without having to worry about them overcharging you. We have been going there for about 14 years and have never had this issue. It's time to change banks fella because pending charges at banks normally fall off after 2 days. I would recommend coming out to Bench Warmers to everyone I know.

Actually your wrong bwfan. No bar does a 75 dollar precharge. Maybe 35, but not 75. Thats just stupid. Im mean, no one that even goes to bench has 75 on them, let alone drink that much. And no its not the bank either. Its what shady companies do now. Its bullshit. And no shit you never had that issue. Neither did I. Even at the clubs downtown. But I guess bench is so great that they think every one that goes in there is goin to spend 75. Fuck that pervert.

Never been to Benchwarmers, but did work at a bank. This is a common practice putting a "hold" on the funds for a day or two just to make sure your card can cover what you purchase. Travel/Hotel/Entertainment industry has every right to do it (I dont agree with the practice... just stating the facts)I avoid the whole problem by just paying in cash. If this caused an overdraft fee, your bank should reverse it for you as you were never overdrawn before.

Daily Horoscope for December 30

Virgo

If the December sales are calling you, you'd better work out a budget before you leave the house. Otherwise, you'll be tempted to use your credit card first and only consider the cost of your purchase later on. Even so, you could track down some great bargains now, provided you don't get carried away and buy items that you don't really want simply because you're astonished by the amount of money you'll save in buying them. But you'll save even more money if you don't buy them!
