Hey hows it going Dutch Harbor?. I'm a coal miner from Southeastern Ky. And like a lot of the nation have been watching "Deadliest Catch" on the Discovery channel. And being a coal miner I know whats it's like to face death every day. But what I would like to know is just how accurate is the show? Cause I would imagine that just as in coal mining there are a lot of myths about what you guys do. Is it as dangerous and hard as it appears on T.V? I know it is the most deadliest job in the world according to most polls. And coal mining had dropped down the list but I expect that when they do another one coal mining will probably jump back up to at least #2, cause we have had a lot of deaths the last two or three years. May even become #1 again. Anyway hope there are some crab fishers out there who will respond to this. really would like to know what it's really like!
