The student "failed" the excercise. He was suppose to object and explain why. He was doing the exact same as the professor, except in the opposite direction. Per the article, he was the only one taken aback by this exercise; at least to the extent of trying to remove the Professor. This guy WILL NOT work on WallStreet, nor Washington DC for sure.

The Professor was NOT trying to change the student's mind about religion, but it would seem that the student's religious beliefs were shakey to start with because instead of defending his belief he tried to change others' minds. Why didn't he just enroll in the religious college of his faith? No one would disagree with him, safe.

I take from that article, "you should be an example of your beliefs, not a preacher". People follow examples alot quicker than words.

To the point, "you will be swayed quicker by a friend or family memeber's recommendation of a product/service than by a loud mouth sales person, true?

Any how, Jesus would have turned the other cheek; isn't that what the bible says?

There is a ban on smoking ads on TV and print ads. This has helped to reduce public smoking and stop a good majority from starting. We can all agree smoking is NOT good for you, is harmful to your health and the cost of healthcare.

To reduce smoking, smoking is not allowed in more and more places. Most would agree this is good. It has taken a few decades to get to where we are today in the fight against smoking. We have come along way baby!

This being said, why didn't Sarah Palin go out on stage with a lit cigarette too?

Medical research/reports agree sugary drinks (and sugar free drinks for diabetics) are NOT good for you. So why is Sarah Palin in favor of it being served in such a LARGE size?

We need more people like the Mayor of NY. With the money he has, he is trying to help people, not make money off of them.

Ah, I figured you would put your own spin on this, LOL
Why would he have to go to a religious school? Isn't FAU a public school? Last I heard, Christians are still allowed in public universities. Although I am sure you libs would change that if you could.

I for one am not as good as Jesus. If you turn the other cheek with people like that horse's arse they'll just stomp on it! I much prefer an eye for an eye, approach .

Religous schools focus mostly on religion. Alot who has come "out" have stated that it was a kind of brain washing. Someone not wanting that type of higher learning would NOT attend that sort of school, right?

Public schools don't focus on religion. That is something you find for yourself or NOT. This is America, your choice.

Per the article, the student was in the minority. Doesn't seem like it is the type of education he wants. Therefore, go to a his faith based school. As simple, as turning the other cheek.

You seem to making more out of it than needed. Public schools should NOT focus on religion.

Most people would agree, religion is a personal/private choice.

The Gov't nor employers, co-workers, schools...should tell you what to believe.

As long as you follow some religion (or code of decency), that is good enough for me.

Prays belong in the homes and church! Good deeds belong in public.

So, it's ok to make a student stomp on Jesus? Why didn't he make him stomp on mohammed?
I'll tell you why...the libs would be screaming that it was a hate crime.

Bloomberg wants a socialist nanny state...just like odumbo, does. This is still America. If I want to drink coke by the gallon, I will. Only socialists and commies want and need someone to tell them how to live their lives.

You really don't get it, it was an exercise and the student failed. Jesus was not on that paper, just writing. He was expected to defend his beliefs, why didn't he?

Quit memorizing the bible and start living, "treat others as you would have them treat you". God's simple rule. No math required.

Jesus wants us to help each other and most of you are against affordable basic healthcare for the poor. This includes the working poor who go to work and are not paid a living wage and get no benefits. Huge corporations are cutting hours NOT TO PROVIDED HEALTHCARE to their employees. I think they refer to them as "most important assets" in the company's mission statement. What a load of BS!

As an adult you should be able to do what you want within the law and be HELD 100% ACCOUNTABLE.

CVS wants to make their employee's accountable. Do you agree?

I bet CVS employees (and others down the road) will change their bad habits to healthier ones or pay for it out of pocket. I guess you would call CVS a socialist corporation, yes or no?

Oh, I think intelligent people get it. Of course Jeseus wasn't on the paper! It's what the paper stood for.
I personally have no problem with helping people who help themselves. It's all the lazy a useless people I don't want at the trough!

You really don't get it. Tough love with a positive outcome.

The stores and theatres selling these huge drinks don't care about you, only the money they will get from you and then they don't want to spend their profits providing affordable healthcare for their employees.

If people made healthier choices, better health leads to affordable healthcare for all. Medicare costs would go down. Better quality of life.

Aren't you tired of ever increasing premiums, deductibles and out of pockets?

Got to start somewhere!

Oh, I get it all right...socialism and communism at it's best! Why would anyone in their right mind want to be told what to do? You have China and Russia to do that for you.
It all comes down to choice.

Don't you get that, our freedoms are eroding, slowly but surely?

That is BS and we both know it.

You are fighting over a 32 oz. "big gulp" which I would hardly think you would want your kids to drink due to possible health issues.

You should be fighting for "freedoms that matter". Is this Sarah Palin?
