They did nothing wrong!! if you can't afford to eat in a restaurant then don't go to restaurants.. this lady is screaming for attention they were asked to leave because it was wrong to bring food into a business. NOT because they were all mentally retarded.. Get over yourselves
Your not going to get special care or break the rules just because your a little retarded...

Pepi's did the right thing!

They did the right thing and stuck to their policy. It's not discrimination fI they do it to everyone. Go to any other restaurant and try that without informing them of "food allergies" first, or at all, and see what happens. Wait I'll tell you what will happen, THE SAME DAMN THING!

And if you can't afford the food then don't go there. If some of the group wanted Pepi's that could afford it then order out and eat at a park, it is the summer after all.

You are a douche and do not know the whole story. Were you there? Were you involved? Do you know ALL the details...nope so stfu. Its between them and the owner of the establishment. You people out here are the ones wanting attention by commenting on something that doesnt involvee or even pertain to you. Grow up move on..........

Who cares people. Pepis pizza sucks anyway. Its TREMENDOUSLY overrated and as well over priced for the quality. The customer service typically sucks there also. Sh*t ....Little Ceasers pizza has better flavor haha

The food at Pepis has gone to hell- not as bad as little ceaser's, that's just crazy, but it's certainly not what it was years ago. They should have just kept the old building up, and left well enough alone.

I don't ever go to Pepis, The Big Cheese has much better pizza.
However, they were sticking to a policy. Good for them! I find fault with the inconsiderate clods who chose to eat at a restaurant knowing people in the group couldn't afford it or had dietary restrictions.
The people that made the descision to go there instead of planning a picnic at the covered pavilion at Allen Park or a public room at the library is to blame. Shame on those bashing Pepis for following a legitimate policy.

I just cannot get peoples opinions these days and everyone is entitled to one, BUT Some compassion and understanding goes a long ways. All of you are missing the point here. The way they were treated was unacceptable. Policy or not it could have been handled very different. I would assume all of you commenting here are the low life slum that live downtown. It is just second nature for you to think it is ok to treat people this way.

Big cheese pizza has crap cheese, not enough sauce and cardboard crust. The wings are almost a dollar a piece and the pizza is overpriced. Oneida has a lot of pizza places but you'd think the competition would drive down prices.

I'm not lowlife and I do get it. I make 85,000. A year in the human services industry. I don't live any where near Oneida. I'm just tired of people having to bow down every time someone with a disability is uncomfortable or percieved as not treated fairly. There was a time abuse was rampant, but the pendulum has swung way too far to the other side.
How many more reasonable accommodations do we have to make? I stand by my belief that the others in the group are inconsiderate for meeting at a restaurant when all couldn't enjoy ordering from the menu.
When are we going to show our elderly the same compassion and respect that we show the disabled in the community???

A privately owned restaurant is not a meeting space for a group that has no intention of buying that restaurant's food. If people want to meet and bring their own foods, they need to book a place designed for that purpose. This was not about the group itself or the food allergies. This was about a restaurant -- privately owned -- that does not have to give up its seating to non-paying customers who should have looked into locations specifically available for meetings and bagged lunches.

I think we all have forgotten the REAL issue here. The uniforms that the servers wear at Pepi's are nothing short of hideous.
