I'm a little confused here, I have read the posts about the illegal aliens in the Cary area and cannot find any racist statements, Could you point them out to me as I don't like racist either. Thanks

I must agree that on the surface JNC's comments were not racist, but to see anyone so consumed by a single issue is sad. In all my travels to more than 30 countries over the past 25 years I have come to the simple conclusion that the USA with all its faults beats any other place I've been hands down (Australia is a close second though). This opinion together with some previous experience with Cary led me to choose it as a great place to grow roots. To answer your question no I don’t think Cary is racist or I wouldn’t be bringing my mixed race family there...but of course anywhere you go there are likely to be narrow minded, stupid, shallow, mean spirited people that poison the air around them and contribute little to an overall good community.

Plz note I took no position on illegal immigration because it is not the topic of this forum. If JNC wants to clear the air in this forum by moving his rants to a new string...that would be great, but until then I choose to just ignore him & happily discuss all that is good and bad in my new adoptive hometown with others.

John, if illegal immigration is a problem not being addressed then would it not be a growing problem? Statistically speaking those areas of the country, the USA, where illegal immigration is highest so also is cost's, crime, and loss of low end earnings, it would follow that this would be a concern to anyone wishing to move to that area.
You don't see it being a problem?

John in Okinawan. I post these facts to give light to those who are considering a move to NC. The problems caused by "ILLEGAL ALIENS" and the birth of their "ANCHOR BABIES" needs to be shouted from the mountain tops. The dead heads inside the beltway of DC are not doing anything about it. So it is left up to the local cities, counties and regular citizens to combat the problem. All your years of service to our wondeful country will not mean squat if this invasion continues. That is sad to think of.

As I have stated if you are happy in Cary, that is great. I wish you and your family all the best. However I will continue my rants as you call it until the State of North Carolina takes action to not be so attractive to "ILLEGAL ALIENS" and starts working to ID and deport those there.

I agree that II is a big problem (as are many other issues like drugs, crime, gangs, teen pregnancy, homelessness, health care, etc.) but I choose not to let any single issue run the way I run my life or obsess about it on every forum I participate in. Please step back, take a deep breath, look at what's wrong & right in your communities and then choose how you can best enhance the good and mitigate the bad.

Now, how about a change of subject to another problem with the triangle...the complete lack of any White Castle restaurants...man I'm dying for some sliders (ha,ha).

John in Okinawa -- You will not find many fast chain restaurants in Cary because of the zoning ordnances. They will not let them use their "logo" colors. For instance, I was working with the "Steak & Shake" and "Sonic" folks a few years back, after Mayor Ernie promised to be "business friendly." (Another Ernie Lie) They both agreed to forgo their signs, but not their "colors" nor lighting -- they where rejected and they moved on to other places. Similar story with Beginnans', Hooters, and Hardees. Same goes for some major retail. That is why the considerable growth in Apex and Morrisville on the commercial side. Lowe's spent an additional million dollars to comply with Cary exterior zoning laws.

You have been warned. By the way, if you are bound and determine to live in this area, if I had to do it all over again, I would look at Orange County or Harrinet County. Revaluations just happened in Wake County, and my taxes went up about 30%.

John, I am very serious. You have given 25 plus years of your life to defend this country. Thank God nothing happened to you. You are to be commended for your service.

Yet this country has legal citizens who go to bed hungry each night. Senior citizens who have to decide to buy food or their medicine. We have homeless people on the streets everyday. Yet our govt does nothing to help them.

Then you have these invaders come over and we pay for their "ANCHOR BABIES" to be born, they then get WIC, Food Stamps, for that child. That child is then given free health care, an education at the taxpayers expense. They are so poor yet they pay thousands to be smuggled in?? Every dollar we spend on "ILLEGAL ALIENS" and their "ANCHOR BABIES" is a dollar we can not spend on our citizens and legal immigrants. Yet is you,me or either of our family members goes for treatment and we can't pay. What happens to us. We are turned over to a collection agency and it goes on our credit record. Eventually they sue you and can garnish your wages etc. What happens to the "ILLEGAL ALIENS"?? Nothing, they do not exsist. Even if you have a name, it is usually only one of the dozen they have and use.

If something is not done and done fast to stop this invasion, we are in trouble. And for someone like you who has made a career of keeping this country safe,it will all be for nothing. For the 20 years I was a cop, trying to make the streets safe, it will be for nothing. And that really ticks me off John.

That is why NC has to do something to stop being a magnet for "ILLEGAL ALIENS". Until they do as I said in my letter to Gov. Sleazley, I will discourage anyone from moving there. Nothing personal against you, or anyone in NC. Except with the "ILLEGAL ALIENS" it is personal.

It is important to ask, why is the infantile logic of supporting illegal immigration and even promoting racism being pushed by the media? What political purpose does it serve? An overview:

* Agribusiness needs more cheaper-than-slaves workers for their fields and illegal Mexicans useful for that.
* Small businesses seek illegals because they are cheap as slaves and desperate: unlike teenagers and other citizens.
* Unions hope to find new dues-paying members by courting illegal Mexicans.
* Democrats hopes to find new loyal voters by courting illegal Mexicans and floating the possibility of amnesty.(Hungry for power Hillary Clinton hired La Raza activists to run her presidential campaign.)
* The Catholic church hopes to find more suckers believers and easy money by courting Mexicans.
* The elites salivate at the prospect of further dividing Americans and maintaining their power. They distract us from the fact that they control both political parties. They distract us from the fact that 9/11 was an inside job. They distract us from the fact that a cartel of international bankers control our Federal Reserve and thus hold our country hostage.
* Upper-middle-class Americans profit personally as illegals take on the role of underclass disturbingly similar to that of black slaves in the Old South.

After all, as I have said, the tone of some of the propaganda is downright sinister. Some of the more racist Mexicans speak of taking over the USA and killing off the whites and others. Propaganda that was once considered at a minimum foolish and at worst the racist spouting of Mexican hate-groups (like Mecha and Mexica, and a lesser extent La Raza) is now given an air of legitimacy in many places.
