School Board Objects to Pictures of Gay Americans

A school board in Michigan decided last week that a display by the Diversity Club had put up for gay history month which showed pictures of successful gay Americans was just too offensive for their precious high school aged children... It was just shocking, shocking!, that the little darlings were exposed to a picture of Neil Patrick Harris.

Well, they have to perpetuate the myth that gays are all losers. If kids think they can grow up to be gay AND successful and happy, then what's to stop them from trying? It's vital that they be taught that gay people are never successful or happy, and that they grow up to be alone and sad and full of regret.

*sigh* I bet if there had been pictures of disgraced and shamed politicians, with a heading "look what being gay got me", the folks who complained would have been fine with it.
