Family ties cancer to Berlin & Farro

Dear whom it concerns,
I was unfortunate that I didn't know become close to the voelker family until after the daughters death. I also had no idea about this toxic dump site and how close it was to their house. I have did much research on it because i'm very interested in this topic and the government. I have also read through all these comments. First off i would like to state that people lie all the time especially the government. The government does not what to give up millions and millions of dollars for no reason especially with the economy being as bad as it is. Therefore, i do not understand why the bloggers below say " that it was cleaned up or taken care of " because that is just what you read or what the government is saying. Of course the government is going to say that. There were over 20 companies (proven fact) that dump different kinds of waste in the dump when there was only suppose to be a few. I am also party of a family where one of my family member's companies drilled to help clean it up for the dump/government. That company has been drilling over 30 years at that time and could not get off of the dump site as soon as possible. I was told by workers that tried FINISHING to clean it up that the toxins were so bad it was eating away their metal of the trailors they had to shower and clean up in. I think the blogglers should get all their information first had and have proof ( not from the government ) before they open their mouths. The government does not want to admit to what they did and how they did not clean it up properly. In order to clean it up properly and take blame that would require the other companies the dumped toxic waste ( even the companies that were not suppose to be dumping it there ) to admit it. Overall the government and many companies would be losing millions and millions of money. Everything is so controlled by the government as it is that this will never be taken care of which is bullshit! The government won't allow no one to even get close to proven this. They have ties and ways to everything that everything that needs to be proven will get hid some way or another.

Well I lived closer to the site than anyone posted here to date I believe, our property perimetered the actual dump. My parents were featured on the cover of "Life" magazine at the time over the incident. SO Mr Abe, unless you have had the actual lab results in your hands as my parents have, unless you have lived with the strange and ongoing health issues.. I don't think you should go siting results. I am now 48 and have had multiple tumors for years and have been fighting cancer for the last 4 years and this morning as a matter of fact get to go to the hospital with my halo MRI results so they can name the two brain tumors that have just been discovered. So don't tell me this lands clay was too thick for the chemicals to seep into the wells surrounding this land and don't say that years of activity didn't affect the people in the immediate area. You may say that they (Berlin and Farro may not have realized the actual harm being done since they also endangered themselves and their own families...but don't be so idiotic as to say no harm was done. And as far as digging in the clay I wish someone would have told my father you couldn't dig in the soil because we as teenagers would not have had to weed the almost acre garden he planted along side the dump land where we harvested fresh vegetables, so we got the chemicals from the water, the food and the fumes. PS Mr Abe the intensity of the lab work that was done on the immediate residents coupled with the fact the results were so consistent means what? someone paid the lab techs to make Berlin and Farro look bad???? Sorry but I am going to take the word of technology over the word of even a nice old gentleman at the county, I grew up in a small town I understand the good ole boy system. By the way what are your credentials concerning this matter? Not quite the articulation I would expect from someone in a professional position, it seems you would like us to believe your post...are they facts or your views? Just curious.

You're not supposed to be getting your chemicals and hormones from your drinking water. This is another by-product of corrupt corporations and politicians working together. If our leaders actually cared for their constituents more than their pockets, these circumstances wouldn't exist. As in they would actually enforce the laws against such pollution.

I had my well tested in 2004 and found to have no contaminants and the people who tested it were trying sell me a reverse osmosis system. But when my test came back clear, there was not much they could do. I am about due for another test and am hoping that they do not find anything. I do have an older well, that is approx. 150 ft deep.
I do have filters on my fridge for the ice make and drinking water dispenser.
I think all of those of you who have had all these cancers and sickness should find some way to be compensated or at least get the story out there by the main media.
My prayers are with you all who have lost someone or have had a family member or friend become sick from this.
