Does anyone know if the Legion or the VFW in Dupo still lends out Hospital beds with side rails? Or if they even have such beds? Need one that can be cranked up. Or if anyone would have on for sale? We are Dupo residents.

Medicare may cover a hospital bed. call the patient's primary care doctor to see if that is an option.

If by chance the ailing person is receiving in-home physical therapy and or occupational therapy or has a visiting nurse. Talk to one of them regarding a hospital bed, they should be able to help you out thru medicare and your secondary insurance. You can also request an air mattress to help with bedsores if they become a problem.

This therapy and that therapy. Do you realize the costs of all of that? Then to hear these people say "I paid into medicare and I deserve blah blah." Medicare is a total disaster that robs the younger generations to pay for luxuries of the baby boomers and the usual trash class that wont pay for their own health care.
Here is a hint. Put the matress on the floor and you wont need side rails. Buy one of those things they sell everwhere for about 20 dollars that prop you up in bed. Cheap solution but then agai nothing but the best when someone else is footing the bill

Brian,My husband has worked since he was 13 yrs old, and is now 72...For your information, we do have insurance, but the insurance only pays for so much when someone has cancer like my husband...his kind of cancer not only affects his blood, but also his bones....He has lost so much weight that he is just bones with skin covering them...He needs help just to get out of a chair....So before you start with you smart mouth, why dont you find out the facts first. We are not on welfare or state medical card. Go after the ppl who have never worked and have always been on state funds all of their lives...like the lady that i met in the lounge at hospital whose son has cancer...she said they had the state medical card and she had 14 gold teeth in front. I could have bought a hospital bed for the amount of money she put in her mouth. Oh yeah for your information, our medicare payment comes right out of out social security check. so dont worry about paying our way...And our social security came out of our pay checks. Im guessing you dont have a job or you would know these things...LOOOOOOSSSSEEEERRR

Judy, I will keep you and your family in my prayers. Cancer is a horrible thing. I am so sorry you are having to go through this. Remember to take care of yourself during this difficult time. Don't hesitate to ask friends or family to assist you. It is times like this that you need their support.

Wasn't me Troll Brian. You have my prayers Judy. My wifes father and my father both battled with cancer. I sympathize with your situation. I also know the coldness expressed with the costs of the medical and pharmecutical industries. I hope that you find a bed soon for your husbands comfort. It's so sad that these trolls like Brian have to add such unneeded stress to an already difficult situation. Don't let this guy upset you Judy. He is truly a horrible person.

If you were any kind of son Trent you would get a job and buy a bed to help your father out so that your mother was not decimated to beg on the internet for one.
You talk big and tough, yet are too much a sissy to help your father out i his time of need.
What a disusting son you are
