that's f'd up. Beelman is a great company to work for. If they did buy it, they can do as they please with it.
I have not ever seen them buy a place & get rid of all the former employees.
Get facts before you spew bs.
You must be brainwashed or hard up for a job.

If he bought them it's the best thing he could have done to protect his employees and company. Yes I am a proud employee of beelman truck co., and hope to be for the rest of my life. Try it you just might like it
You're just stupid! Beelman protecting his employees is like him charging you for condoms so when you chase the lotlizards you protect your ASSets.
There is no such thing as a Beelman "lifer", you're disposable and easily replaced with some other Hillbilly big rigger!
Beelman doesn't want lifers, they have to pay you more and you become a liability over a period of time. How do you say bulk hauling in Mexican? B-E-E-L-M-A-N! You wait and see Beelman will have more foreigners/illegals working there and you'll be picking up trash on a chain gang somehwere.
The BEST thing Beelman drivers could do is get the Teamsters in there for some protection and HOURLY pay instead or driving like maniacs to for your production quotas and kissing ass to make a living.

Wake up FQQLZ your an idiot because of the damn unions why our great country is in turmoil it doesn't take a whole lot of brains to figure that it doesn't make since to continue to give somebody benefits after they quit working for you and as far as Beelman goes, been here 13 yrs and its one of the best trucking companies I have ever worked for and yes I have worked other jobs including worthless union jobs too didn't like paying lazy fatass people to let me work for them

Beelman wouldn't be so bad if he wouldn't make it a point of trying to run every other company out of business just for his own ego. Every thing he does is the same, drop prices super low just to run the competition out of business even if he has to take a loss. He sets rates so low his drivers (who work for a percentage) have to run thier "ss off just to make a living. Trust me I drove for him years ago.

His thrill is running every other company out of business. First it was trucking, then river terminals, then concrete, now quarrys.

actually, his drivers start at 26% and are at 27% by the end of the first year, with an annual raise after that. Once again...FACTS people. lets try to use those here and there...

He might pay 26%, but he cuts the rates so low they still don't make squat. He ubdercuts every other company around just to get all the work.

Beating someone elses rate may be how business's work, but what isn't published is the fact that beelman still gets the same amount of money off the top and what ever is left is what drivers get their percentages from. Therefore, the drivers who do all the work and essentially make the name, are the ones who suffer. People who enjoy their job and know they're not getting the shaft, would probably strive to do a better job. When you know your getting screwed, you typically don't give a shit......

Doing a little research for college - trying to write about the history of Illinois LImestone mine and how frequently the mines change hands.

Did this sale go through? There seems to be some differing opinions above.
