Of course the test results are dependasnt upon grade level. Just another way of scamming the public with overwhemin statistics to where it all becomes away of writing what someone wants. That someone is usually an educator trying to justify another raise or why the classrooms are failng.
I could speculate on why the grads fall at the higher levels but one thing to consider is perhaps the money being dropped on high school sports would be better deployed in te classroom. Sports are fine, but have becoe entertinment for the adults while the teen suffers. The job market today is extremely comptitive and these young ones need skills. The ones headed for college need much more training than is being offered.

Only people who rolls their eyes are people having fits, schizophrenics and mentally impaired people. Typically they lay on the foor, flop around and bite their tongues off.
I always liked to jump on top of them to get off....

What a shame you use an Edwardsville ISP to post here

You raise a good point Brian. What schools in our area do well? Wealthy ones. End of discussion.

Income has little to do with the sucess of students. The state, via income redistribution, provides plenty of resources for all students to achieve sucess in Illinois.
Your post is meaningless.

Well well. Spoken like a union teacher right before a strike day. Its easy to take an Illinois district that doesn't meet standards and then, by comparing it with other Illinois districts, hoodwink some into believing that the district is doing good. That is because Illinois District averages include Chicagoland, The Amrecian Bottoms and other impoversished areas scattered across the state due to the demise of the mining industry.
How about comparing your district with Columbia, Waterloo or Edwardsville. Maybe comparing with Highland, Collinsville or Ofallon too.
State averages in Illinois are meaningless unless being used by a teacher demanding a raise. Sorry teach. Your attempt at justifying your overpaid salary doesn't cut it by real world comparisons. It might work at your union meeting but it won't here.
So I got under the skin of old Brian. Too funny to see all the rants on a few facts. Let's be clear junior, you stated "Your Dupo schools are no better than Cahokia Schools. They are substandard, don't meet state criteria" I proved your comment wrong with just a little research on the ISBE site--this is where FACTS are presented. People beware of those like Brain, do your own research and get facts. Look how quickly he backups and tries to change direction when confronted with the truth. lol And here are more facts for all concerned, the best correlation for academic success is the amount of money made by those raising the child. Take a look at the attached meta-analysis (and for Brian a Meta-Analysis is a gathering of data from various research and analyzing the data to look for patterns, trends and/or disagreements to look deeper into a topic).

See above post, Brain is once again incorrect. I don't mind him spending time on here bashing people, that is his freedom. But don't be fooled because he pretends to know facts, his rants are proof that a little information is dangerous. People research is free.

Really Brian? Name the top scoring schools in the area. E'ville, O'Fartum, Colombian. Those communities just happen to have the highest per capita income in the Metro-East. Coincidence? I think not!

So what? Those districts citizens pay taxes that are redistributed to the lower incomed districts?
What is your point?
Is it that dumb people can't seem to spend money in an eficient manner?

LOL. You know what brian, I could just ignore your ignorant posts as most seem to do, but the success of the pogo thing just perks my interest in bringing out the unbelievable stupidity that you possess. You go so far out of your way in the attempt to insult towns and people that you find so undesirable. I don't think that there is anything about Dupo that you don't know. But why bother? Something must have happened to make you such a cynical moronic little creep. Rejection? Inferiority complex? Or is it just in your nature to incite people. Pogo was just an experiment to see how one could affect the rantings of a stupid troll. Not only was pogo a success in inciting the inciter, but your total obsession with that experiment just amazes me. That's probably why I keep replying as opposed to just ignoring your stupid @ss. You are a puzzlement. I could just sit here and watch you, under any IP or name that you like, and enjoy the stupid pogoposts, or I can continue to poke you with that pogo stick. Either way it's become sort of a hobby. Since you have almost single handedly driven anyone away with any kind of intelligent posts with your stupidity, what else is there to do on topix? I'll be looking forward to your next stupid pogopost. The stupidity shown in those posts just accetuate the success of my experiment. I'm beginning to think that you may never recover from the success of pogo. The Trollinator. LOL!

Wrong again Brian. Their money is NOT redistributed to lower income schools. That's why they continue to build new buildings and facilities while the others don't. I don't see an artificial turf field at Dupo or Cahokia. ALL of the schools I mentioned have one though, among a plethora of other high priced items our school can't even dream about. The way school tax dollars are distributed in the state of Illinois does not insure that all kids have the same opportunity at a good education. Under the current system the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

take a drive through East St louis and see all the new schools buily by taxpayers from other districts that also fund their own districts.
Artificial turf or other so called high priced items has nothing to do with learning the basics of calculus for example
Football fields are built to entertain the parents, not to teach anything
Nice try teacher but the facts are you are failing in your classroom and continue to fingerpoint while demanding a higher wage as you fail in your job duties in the classroom
Sadly the dumbos in Dupo believe you
