First of all before I day what is really ib my mind, I want to Rob Putnam a "Thank You". That man works harder than anybody else I know getting those fields ready and trying to find new ways to fix all the problems in the past. Thank you Rob Putnam you do a great job with the little help you really get on the baseball side of things.
Second when did the Khoury League turn into an adult league? I don't know what it worst people stealing money and doing everyhting for the kids or raising alot of money, but worring more about things for the adults to do. So after all the work of getting a Fathers Day tourney out together, it can't be made up because of a "Kickball Tourney". I hope all of these parents that paid $85 dollars for their kids to pay or happy not getting to play the tourney. Just because a large majority of the board members don't give a crap about baseball, doesn't mean they have make adult activities a main priority..........

Why was the decision made to hold a kickball tournament instead of the baseball tournament? Not enough participation for baseball?

Yes the little league tournement was cancelled over the weekend due to the bad weather we received on Friday. The reason for the kickball tournement being next saturday is that is when it was scheduled. I do think that they should have re-scheduled the little league tournement but they have not. Sorry if this pisses of some of you parents, but that is just the sad fact! I am a parent of one of the children playing little league baseball as well as one of the parents playing on the adult kickball league. If there were some way we could get the little league tournement rescheduled I'd be all in!!!!

I am not a parent or a board member but this is my opinion.
if it wasnt for the adults volunteering their time there wouldnt be anyplace for the kids to play. So what if the adults are allowed to have fun. Who the hell are you to tell them how to run the place. Do you even volunteer at all down there or are you just complaining like everyone else that does nothing but expects everything

I do participate down there on a limited basis; when they do things for the kids. I agree that the board members that are down there do work hard and have made a big difference down there. I also heard there was some empty promises about people donating money to help.
My only thing is they are not making up the khoury league baseball tourney, because of an adult kickball tourney???????? Sounds like they are just out for the money and not for the kids at the KHOURY LEAGUE...... It also doesn't help that outside of a few board members, the other ones only care about Football, I bet when football season comes around you will see more of those board members down there working. Nevermind you do see them down there during Softball and Kickball (the adult sports)...

It looks like ,( to me anyway) that they could sell more beer for an adult game than they could sell during a kids event.
Guess it's time to rethink their values.

There is no alcoholic beverages sold while there are childrens games down there. That also means if a Khoury League game and a mens league softball game is playing...no beer. Please get the facts before you bash.

That's what I'm saying. if there it a choise bewtween a adut game being there and a kids game, the adult game wins so that beer can be sold.

here a question for you. If you do volunteer down there then why is it the people the visit the topix websites problem. Why are you openly bashing a place that you help run? That makes people talk bad about the quarterback club. Isnt there a meeting once a month to voice these concerns. Also why did I comment on the posting BECAUSE YOU POSTED IT ON TOPIX. If you dont want my opinion dont post it on here.

You are right with one thing this is an open forum and anyone can give their opinion on any topic they want to. As far as me bashing the QBC that never happened. I was also voicing my opinion on wanting the Little League Games re-scheduled. I never said anything bad about the QBC. And I dont help run the QBC I just volunteer some of my free time. If I was a board member then I would be helping RUN the QBC.
just wondering

I was just wondering, if I owned a landscaping business I would at least volunteer some of my time and mow the grass at the DQC. My kids cant even play ball on one of the fields because the grass is so high.

First of all I do know for a fact that he has mowed the fields on a few occasion when it was needed. More importantly I hope it rains alot, since the kids can't make up their tournament the adults shouldn't be able to kick a ball around! Anyways what types of adults play kickball?
