I saw this movie this weekend and other than the great music used I was not impressed.

It's not the worst, but it could've done without the soft porn. Didn't think it was appropriate for the kids in the audience.

I was hoping it'd be more like X-MEN action wise. Dr. Manhatten could've been more clothed. I'd be interested in seeing what life forms he creates whereever he ends up.

You can't really even call it a superhero movie. The only one who had any powers was Dr. Manhatten, the rest were just people wearing masks.

Well, they did have super strength, and "the smartest one" had super strength and speed. Can't recall more at the moment. But definately much lamer than the X-MEN in the powers. Looking forward to Wolverine's movie coming out. Dr. M. was pretty cool.

My Hubby & I went to the movies to see Saw III when it came out and I had a 6 yr old girl who sat next to me with her parents. The little girl was sooooo scared she ended up curled up in a ball hiding her face and I don't think the parents even noticed.

My kid is older, I was talking about others who were much younger. And, I wasn't aware there'd be sexual scenes. It's the first DC Comic movies don't have them. Most movies like that are rated R because of the violence. Okay now? I do agree movies need to be screened first before allowing kids to watch. Unfortunately too many times they get over their friends house and watch the same movie you kept from them. Then you find out after the fact.

That sounds like me now!! And I'm a LOT older than 6 (more like 6 times 7)!! LOL!! My mom used to tell my dates that they could take me to a scary movie, but it would be a waste of money.

'Watchmen' is a very good movie based from a graphic novel and not a comic book. In comic books the world for the most part is unaltered by the presence of super heroes. Watchmen takes the premise that history MUST be altered by the presence of super heroes. The scene of Dr Manhattan destroying VC troops in Vietnam is a great example. The point of the movie was that while there are no super heroes, we have crafted idols out of other things and have become lazy and soft.
