In response to Wilmington "SHOW RESPECT: I don't recall any past presidents being referred to as Mr. Bush or Mr. Clinton, etc., but I frequently hear the media refer to President Obama as Mr. Obama. This man holds the highest position in the country and deserves to be addressed accordingly."

Are you kidding me? First I have never heard President Obama referred to as Mr. Obama. Not saying it doesn't happen, but I've only heard him referred to as Obama and President Obama.

As for Former President Bush, because of the sheer hatred being show for this man he was frequenty referred to as Mr. Bush or just Bush. Yes, he was referred to as President Bush, but more often than not it was Mr. And many of us were really shocked at the total disrespect for the Office of the President being shown during his administration.

As for Former President Clinton, it was the same as with President Obama....Clinton or President Clinton.

So I guess the folks who refused to refer to our former President by his title think that is ok but if anyone doesn't use it for their favorite candidate then it is disrespectful? Lighten up.

I noticed that also. Right wing FOX news is the biggest culprit.

FOX never ( or very rarely ) even uses the name Obama. speak about " the President"
Remember during the election it was Barrack Hussein Obama, from every FOX talking head- trying to dramatize that he was a Muslim ( purposeful LIE), with the " Hussein".
Don't do it now , do they?

I only heard the Fox OPINION commentators use his middle name a few times and most of the time was to report on the hoopla of the right wing nuts using it to imply he was something he wasn't, with maybe the exception of Sean Hannity or a guest on a broadcast. The only ones I really hear using it now are the left wing nut jobs to smear anyone who dares to be critical of this administration. The actual NEWS portion of Fox wasn't using it that I heard (unless again it was to report on the nuts using it to try and imply he was something he wasn't).

The Fox cable channel is a mix of news segments and opinion segments. If you can't tell the difference then you have some serious problems.

Of all the people to comment on the Pop Warner fight, how could Wilmington Selectman Michael McCoy even find the nerve to offer a comment? Wasn't McCoy the slectman who punched out another selectman named Bob Cain several years ago and hid from the Wilmington police at his uncle State Rep Jim Micelii's house. Wan't this the same Michael McCoy that had to pay $25K to Selectman Cain and disgraced our community. Hey Mr McCoy, ever hear about glass houses???
