What's going on? I saw what looked like 50 to 100 police cars getting on 495 from rt 3 about 20 minutes ago, all with their lights on.

They posted an article on it: BOSTON (CBS)– If you saw a massive police convoy on a local highway Wednesday morning, it‘s for a good cause.

About 250 officers from all over New England gathered at the Burlington Mall before sunrise to take part in a ride to Virginia.

They went as a group to visit six-year-old Nathan Norman, a young boy in Rustburg, Virginia who is fighting brain cancer.

Nathan’s Christmas wish is to receive cards from police and fire departments.

The officers are not only granting his wish, they’re taking it one step further by the delivering the cards to Nathan and his family in person.

You can track the officers’ journey by following the Burlington Police on Twitter.

Who the hell is paying for this junket, the Taxpayers? If cops want to do this; let them do it on their own time and in their own vehicles. The Taxpaying public SHOULD NOT be footing the bill for the time and or the vehicle expense.

These boobs should rent a couple of School Buses and do this on their own dime. Enough is enough with these boobs!

We, as Taxpayers, need to nip this nonsense in the bud. If the cops want to look like fairy tale hero's to a very sick lad who lives 500 miles away; let them do it on their own time. And, they sure as hell should not be doing this in Taxpayer funded vehicles. This nonsense is totally out of control.

The cops are averaging 50 to 60 paid days off per year; not counting paid holidays or time off for injury on the job. Of course, anything and everything counts as a job related injury with these boobs. As it is; they are earning tons of extra money with their paid detail scam. And again, they have plenty of paid days off to be able to work these very lucrative paid details.

And now, they want to go frolicking off to far away places to look like heroes to every sick child who ever mentioned that they might want to become a cop?

We, as Taxpayers need to put on end to this nonsense fast. If this boobs want to look like heros; let them do it on their own time. And, let them rent a bus or two to carry their hero azzes where they are going.

What a bunch of BS!
