It's a noticeable problem even if you don't know the statistics. But the statistics about obesity in Lenoir County - the most recent figures indicate 32 percent of adults and 26 percent of children ages 2 to 11 fall into that category - made this a health issue that caught the eye of a number of county agencies individually.

If they would get their butts off the scooters at walmart and walk, the problem would not be as bad.
