Can someone tell me why I pay the Coop for "broadband" when in fact most of the time i get dial up speeds? They are charging waaaay to much money for a service that isnt stable, or good at all.I'm paying 70$ a month for 6mbps speed. and this very moment im downloading at 76kbps. The customers should get what we pay for honestly. They need to fix their issues with their horrible service!!!
i just wonder

I get broadband internet with them and i got the fastest that they got and also got a wireless modem through them and my internet part on my cable and phone bill is just 44 dollars so how come yours is 70 dollars.

Probably becasue its cheaper with a bundle. If you have Dish network and/ or a cell phone, you don't want cable or a house phone so they charge more for the internet connection.

you dont have the fastest they got. i have 5mbps and its not the fastest and it alone says on their website that it is 59.99 a month. then they REQUIRE you to have the phone line service which is the most ignorant thing i heard from a company seeing that no other internet provider i have ever used before i moved here ever did. so all in all, just for that and the phone line after tax, it is always a a 100 dollar bill.
anyone know the logic behind requiring the phone line?? please dont say it has to be there for the dsl, that is not true at all........

Go to verizon wireless buy the piece that plugs into computer for 50 bucks...I got a rebate for 50 back so it was basically free. You pay $59.99 a month and its really fast for me. Depends on where you live around here though.

Doesn't Verizon limit the bandwidth you can use per month? Because I know they are doing away with their unlimited data plan

yup, was 5 to 10 gig a month last time i checked. not sure about now. sounds like alot but really is not, with all the flash websites, online videos like youtube, and especially netflix, you will eat that limit up.

problem really is in the Co-op. with no competition, there is not worries about charging what they want anymore. and alot of people in pikeville never no that its really high priced since they havent lived outside of the town. I have even called multiple times and asked why the high price and why make it mandatory to include the phone plan with the internet. only response was a phone has has to be activated for dsl to work. Bull. i had frontier in crossville with just the dsl from them. used vonage for telephone, and had dish for tv. frontier offered the same service i am paying for now, except it was 29.99 a month where i am paying 59.99 plus 20 for telephone.........

Adsl prices are on their website...www.Bledsoe.net...ad d $20.00 to that price for a phone line is what I was told...yes it is required that you must have a landline phone to have adsl with Bledsoe. I don't use my landline I have a cell. I had problems and complained to the general manager and they took care of it.

I forgot to pay my bill once and they turned off the phone but the internet stayed on for days until I went down and paid the phone bill. If you cant have dsl without the phone then why did it work? hmmm.... plus if they are together then why do they charge a seperate reconnect fee for both the DSL and the phone? hmmm... can't wait to end the dependency on Bedsoe telephone cooperative. My bill is $100 a month.
