alan broom was not bad but no way one of the best. don't forget terry dishman who held the state championship record for rushing yards in a game. charlie girdley was small but a very good running back. trent young was an outstanding tight end and defensive end. can't leave jeff cartwright out of the lb's. he played at vanderbilt and damn near made the Seattle Seahawks team when Bosworth was there. i agree with creed. he was very dominant. frank greer was a good safety and set records while at Sewanee college. michael schmidt was probably best def back. believe he led state in interceptions as a junior and senior. had over 20 in his hs career. i hear larry keener was very good running back but never got to see him play. best punt/ko returner's scott camp and jackie fletcher. there have been a lot and could argue for many of them. some played in era's where teams were not as good and some played very easy schedules and padded stats some against easier teams.

Anybody around here knows that Alan Broom was one of the best to play around here.Very intense never laid down, one of the hardest hitting players no matter what size.

Alan Broom was tough and hit hard. He was not very fast. I would put him in top 10 - 15 running backs to every play in Sequatchie.

I don't mean to Bragg but I'm a win away from going to the superbowl on my fantasy team yeah I'm pretty awesome. I may allow this town to build a statue of me and my greatness so everyone can worship me lol when could build it right in the middle of town with benches around it with free wi fi. Ahh it's good to be an athlete.
