Does anyone know anything about this daycare? I am thinking of putting my kids in here and just need some feedback before I do.

I would recommend Creation Station or Doodle Bugs Or Jasmine Mitchells daycare locate by Jiffy. Stay away from Happy Times, the owner is rude and I have heard many people that have not been happy there at all. I would explore your other options before deciding.

My children have gone there for years and we are very happy with the daycare! I do think you should always explore your options before making a decision on which child care provider you use but in my opinion you won't find one better than Happy Times. They provide a loving, clean & honest establishment for their children!

Maybe you could go to each one and ask for referals? I don't know if they do that, as I am a stay at home mom. Also, if you have a facebook, you could just ask there, I have a lot of Dunlap people on mine and at least then you will know who your talking to.

I have heard good things about the ones you mentioned, but I also heard they all have waiting lists and are all booked up.

The owners/directors of Happy Times, Discovery Lane, Doodlebugs, and Creation Station are all wonderful. You can not go wrong with any of them. But I do reccommend exploring your options. Every child is different and every child reacts differently to different place. Do not go on strangers words of a place just because they had a bad experience. Better off asking people you know.

I think this is a great idea. Ask friends whose children attend these various day cares.

It's in the perfect location, but it always smells like urine. My child has had to be treated for lice at least twice in two years. And the helpers that they now have scream and yell at the children and allow some priveldges over others. I feel the attention that the owners gave it three years ago is lacking a bit now. I think they may have gotten a bit relaxed in their business lately. Try one of the others mentioned first. You'll be lucky if Happy Times offers you a spot anyways.

I think HHHHMMMMMMM is correct. But you first need to decide what you want for your child. People raise their children differently. Some want their child to be nurtured by their care giver and given a lot of individual attention to their personal development, some want them to be taught to understand that they aren't going to be coddled in preparation for the next stage in their lives. And there are the in-betweens. Your children's age should be a huge factor as well.
Then consider the reviews of each Day Care. Not just the State, or health department reviews because they usually only occur once a year and it is way too easy to "fix up" a program for a once a year inspection. Listen to your friends, and people who have experience with that center. Talk to some of the older kids that go there and ask them about what goes on. You'd be suprised that they pay attention to some of the things they do.
The centers in this area are all good in their own way, but all different too. Smaller centers with a reasonable sized staff may provide more one on one unhurried attention for your child, larger centers with limited staff may be more rushed and less consistent and focused; possibly like what your child will find at the County School System with a large group of children.
Just remember most children spend the majority of their waking hours in a child care setting and what your child experiences in the first years of his or her life is what shapes that child for the rest of it's life.

I always go in there smelling like beer and cheap perfume. The state pays my rugrats tuition and I need time post crude remarks on topix.

It's not the daycares fault or your fault that a child gets lice. You can take every precaution possible but lice will be in any daycare or school your child goes to. There is no getting around it. Go buy some aerosol hair spray and cover your child's head it in everyday if you don't want you child to get lice.
Think about the urine smell, hello it is a daycare where there are infants and toddlers ages 6 weeks to on average 3 yrs old that pee and poop in diapers. Get over yourselves people. It's a fact of life. I have been in all 4 daycares and they are all clean and smell fine.

I know when I was potty training my child, my house smelled like urine too. Imagine training several children at the same time....

They all don't smell like piss. Have you ever heard of a mop? Imagine mopping up the piss before it starts stinking. Proper hygiene and head checks will prevent head lice. Try soap and water I would hate to see or smell your houses..........
