I was curious if anyone else knows about troubles at the middle school? I saw the story on channel 9 about the girl who had her hair cut by another child and the school has not reacted bery strongly. If the story is true, it seems to me that the school could get to the bottom of it. Also, our child said a teacher got knocked down in the 7th grade hallway by students. Is there a problem in the school that is being kept quiet? It sounds like bullying is pretty common and does not get addressed. Is the school resource officer not involved in the bullying problem?

I can not believe that Ms Nash said that the did do something , they spent a few hours on it ! That poor girl how long did she spend growing her hair ? This is sad , No kid saw what happened . I find that hard to believe ! What does Mr. Cordell say about this or the school board ?

Are you telling me that if you're asleep and someone is standing over you, taking scissors to your hair that you're not gonna know? I find this really hard to believe that someone cut this child's hair and she never knew a thing.

I have long hair, and when I fall asleep, even at school, I wouldn't notice if someone was fooling with my hair, especially if I had a migrane. I know for a fact that she has been bullied in the school before, I am her older sisters friend. I know for an absolute fact that Mrs. Nash does NOT do anything about bullying. My brother has been bullied by the FACULTY. he was accused for many things that I have seen the other student do.with my own eyes, EVEN SHOWED VIDEOS of.the kid doing the things my brother was accused of, and they took the other students WORD over it.. because he was playing a pity roll because of an accident that happened to him, and his guardian bawled her eyes out to get her poor baby outta trouble. That is an example that Nash, the teachers and school board do nothing. So we took matters into our own hands, in court. I was called the night that her sister came home with her hair chopped, she was highly upset. These schools are completely pathetic.

This really pisses me off. I would honestly just love to know, WHERE WAS THE TEACHER?! Are they not supposed to be in the classroom at all times? It's sad to have such a nice little girl that comes from a great family put into a bad situation and be picked on. Someone has to know what happened, you have a classroom full of kids and no one knows? Sounds suspicious to me. The kid must have the right last name. It's sad to say the school system is no longer about education but who you are. It isn't he said she said, that's just Ms. Nash's excuse for not taking care of the situation. Our schools are supposed to be preparing students for the real world, yet allowing a student to cut another's hair and not taking action teaches them nothing other than you can get away with making bad choices. Yet again, WHERE WAS THE TEACHER?! Get real Ms. Nash! I only have one thing to say to the little girl and her family, and any other child who has to endure the same thing(bullying), hold your heads high. Karma is coming their way one way or another.

Helllllloooooooo....PEOPLE! Middle School HAS always been an in-between stage for kids..from room parties in Elem. school to 'WATCH YOUR LUNCH MONEY"..when your back is turned. It is a VERY DIFFICULT time for kids, going from holding your hand at the crosswalk to BUMPING ya off the curb as you cross the street. It's LIKE the Zookeeper forgot to lock the cages after his shift. These middle schoolers are TREATED like an adult once they step through the doors on the first day of school. Here's the list, find your room..etc. There isn't ANY room for transition, you either try to FIT IN or you will left behind, The Bullies that were scolded and slapped on their palms in Elem. school...NOW have FREE REIGN in middle school. They scope out the kids that are STILL trying to cope with this WHOLE new adventure...LIKE MOM...WHY DID YA SEND ME HERE?? So WHAT THE FREAK will the bullies receive as punishment? DETENTION..WHOOOPIE! The teachers in an OVERSIZED classroom are trying to teach..they ARE NOT "babysitters". Discipline starts at home..NOT a class to be taught at Middle School..CLASS DISMISSED...DING-DING!

Ding ding sweetie, class is in session. Let me tell you something. First of all, middle school students are not treated as though they are adults, if they were this situation would be handled. Better yet the situation would have never occured because adults are mature enough not to cut one another's hair in acts of being bullies. Bullying should not be tolerated whether teachers are "baby sitters" or not. No they are not baby sitters, I will completely agree with you on that statement, however, it is the teachers responsibilty to make sure the kids feel safe within their enviroment. It is their job to make students look forward to coming to school each day, yet that doesn't happen. Students do not feel safe, they are victimized each day by bullies and no action is taken. Even if the teacher was a so called "baby sitter" they would be doing a horrible job. What ever happend to kids come first. Now it's money signs. Bless your heart sweetie you must be a teacher or a parent of a bully. Ding ding, class is over. I hope you have learned something.

My daughter told me about a fight in the school last week. Seems like one girl attacked another and both were suspended for fighting....newsflash...if someone attacks my child, she better fight back. And if you suspend her, we will end up in court.....she has a constituional right to defend herself if attack.

Cutting this childs hair is assualt, right? Or just another day in the life of a child in this school system? Bullying happens everyday at scms and nothing is done about it.

Hearing her on channel 9 Ms nash might have been a stripper but she is as cold hearted as a pimp. That was the most callous uncaring remark by an educator I ever heard. "He said she said". Not at all He assaulted the school ignored. Obviously this is due to the families involved. The young lady was probably not from Dunlap's royal family. This all seems good but it is the exact cause of spree shootings. People feel helpless do the right thing and report crimes and nobody protects them.
