Tell it like it is Tom:

Tom Ricks, author and Pulitzer prize winner who has reported for the Washington Post, lambasted Fox News’s coverage of the Benghazi attacks in an interview with the conservative network on Monday. Ricks, who has written extensively on the American military, called the Fox an “operating as a wing of Republican Party” that “hyped” the Benghazi attack as a faux-scandal.

During the interview, which lasted only a minute and 45 seconds, Ricks responded to a loaded question with a remark that surprised the anchor:

JON SCOTT (HOST): Senator John McCain said in the past he would block any attempt to nominate Susan Rice to become U.N.— I’m sorry, Secretary of State. She’s currently the U.N. ambassador. He seems to be backing away from that. What do you make of it?

RICKS: I think that Benghazi generally was hyped, by this network especially, and that now that the campaign is over, I think he’s backing off a little bit. They’re not going to stop Susan Rice from being secretary of state.

After Ricks called Fox the “operating wing” of the GOP, Scott ended the interview. Watch it:

http://www.youtube.com/watch...

Ricks’ assessment of Fox’s role in what they themselves dubbed “Benghazi-gate” is accurate. Since the Sept. 11 attack that killed four U.S. citizens, Fox has pushed a constant stream of conspiracy theories and easily countered “facts” claiming that the Obama administration lied to the public in their response. Even Fox’s own personalities have had trouble accepting the push at times, but Ricks’ blunt statements caught the network off-guard.

The interview apparently didn’t sit well with Fox: a “news staffer” told Ricks that he was rude while he was on air. Ricks’ segment, according to an interview he gave with the New York Times, was about “half as long as planned.”

“I had told the producer before I went on that I thought the Benghazi story had been hyped. So it should have been no surprise when I said it and the anchor pushed back that I defended my view,” Ricks told Politico. Ricks also told the New York Times that he was going to discuss the “lack of combat readiness of some Army units” but he never got the opportunity,.“They seemed to lose interest in that,” he said.

Just one more example of how the liberal pro-Obama media controls what is reported to an uninformed public.......oh, wait.

Denial there Clyde...the hardest part of recovery is admitting your addiction...it's okay, everyone but Joe on here will be here to support you through recovery of your Republican delusion of life. Just take the first step Clyde and admit that the Republican Pary is not authority.

I guess when someone doesn't answer a question and instead calls the MURDER of four Americans "hype", you end the interview. Totally justified unless of course you think the MURDER was "hype" right? I noticed that "Howard" left that question which caused the termination out of his post and you two fell for it. That tells me that neither one of you watched the interview but commented as if you did.

I watched the interview and you are completey wtong. Fox invited Ricks on its show. He answered the questions, he just didn't give the answers they wanted. Ending the interview clearly exposed the network's bias. Fox isn't interested in presenting opposing views, because it's not a news organization, it's a propaganda organization.

Of coarse fux lives in their own little world , and that's why more than half the usa won't watch it . It is a right wing spewing propaganda machine , and on election night they may as well been filming from Republican headquarters , they all had their sad sack faces on. Hype goes both ways, to push those murders for political gain is just as bad as down playing them , so get off your high horse joe. Now that the General has been interigated and it has been proven that the white house did not hold back information it makes the Republicans again look foolish jumping to conclusions for political gain (ya lost anyways ha). Instead of standing together the Repugnantcans choose to divide in the time of crisis , all for political leverage . Sick !!

YOU are the one that didn't get the SARCASM...also,keep that dictionary close because the word is WRONG...(sarcasm, I know it was a keystroke error) You presumed that I did not "get" your sarcasm and just shot some rude statement back (the second part is rude and so Joeish which is why so many threads go bad) The post was a total dig at Joe and his many identies that are lurking out there. Most "regular" thread readers know generally where most stand on a topic. No true harm has been done. This is just another example of how true expression of meanings gets lost when it's on a computer screen. Have a wonderful day there Cylde.

Of course you won't agree that certain other networks are biased toward the other side or will you? PS Is your spell check on the fritz?

I posted from that because any other source I posted(there are many)would have been attacked as not true. This way people who were in the dark and used only the first post for evidence can see that the man did not answer the question. He instead brought Iraq into play and called the MURDER hype. You see on FOX unlike other "news" outlets you must actually answer the question posed instead of stating your personal agenda. Hope that clears that up for you.

(A) In order for sarcasm to work, it has to be recognizable as such. Mine was. Yours wasn't.(B) What are you talking about? I spelled sarcasm correctly.

A) MY sarcasm was as obvious as yours.(in regard to the other post)
B) It is WRONG not wtong. Is what I was talking about as you needlessly bash at people.

You really need to relax, your hostility level is right up there with Joe's.

PS the majority of all news media venues is slanted to either one side or the other -- remember that as you go all Joe Postal on Fox.

Fox is deserving of ridicule as they are much more biased than any other news outlet and their "fair and balanced" charade makes them dishonest, as well.
