Those who live on the Catteraugus Indian Reservation, and all the individuals who live in the WNYDDSO homes, were frequent visitors to the ER, and inpatients. where will they go? Mercy hospital is so busy, volunteer ambulances, eg CIRVID will be forced to wait with patients until a bed is available. They are all served by volunteers, Silver Creek, Forestville, and Perrysburg to name a few. God help them!

Will Senecas buy it? Didn't the Amish help keep Westfield afloat? Always heard that but nothing concrete.

just curious? if the hospital continues to lose money and can't maintain the necessary requirements that the state mandates what should they do? Are you willing to pitch in with some free labor, how about higher taxes, how about working for them for free. See, hospitals are a business, they need to make a profit for the service they provide. Now if you vote democratic thenI understand the way you feel. Everyone should help you out even if they lose money! LEt someone sacrifice, as long as you don't. I do feel bad that the place is going to close, but business is business, just like you need to survive in your house, the business needs to make it too!

no business can survive with the number of 6 figure people they brought in from out of state not to mention the "VP"s a lot of whom have been given new titles and well be given a job at brooks. How long before brooks closes??

interesting...I thought Brooks had no openings, or was that just for people who actually take care of patients?

It was actually for those who take care of patients. They have created jobs and changed titles of certain VP's to keep them on at LERHS. I'm not sure who you had to sleep with though.

Seniors and the Mentally Ill are two very vulnerable populations being released. This is beyond sad, just like our area to not have taken control because we don't excise CEO's around here, Supt.s that often or any other leader, hence Lakeshore closes and the county has a terrible economy if you can even call it an economy. But "Chautauqua's Moneyed Elite" are fine. Living large in an area where it is inexpensive to live. We get the community we have from doing nothing about this problem at all.

Believe me these people are much better off out of that butcher shop. Just read these comments and you get the general idea who has been taking care of your loved ones.
