I cannot believe,(especially in today's times when acts of cruelty against humanity is at a rampage) how much more evil flows through the blood of a lot of people.
My eyes were filled with tears when I read the countless comments posted on topix.com about how to kill stray cats.
The ignorant words and despicable comments filled the pages of the site.
Some comments suggested rat poison, drownings, buried neck deep and running a lawn mower over them, sending the family dog to mutilate them, shootings... one person commented that he shot a cat and obviously found joy in watching it "wiggling on the floor as it was slowly dieing".
The acts of cruelty were numerous.
How evil your heart must be !!
What flows in your veins ?
Rejoicing over killing a cat, or anything else for that matter and then bragging about it as if you are so proud to be considered a barbarian by others with a kind heart.
Your evil doings only pleases the devil and he gives favor onto the evil doer. Is this you?
How can anyone, who's very soul was touched by the Hand of God when placed in the physical body, can have such evil thoughts, such cruel, inhumane ideas and acts about the execution of helpless little creatures ?
How short is the essence of your heart, from that of the hearts of suicide bombers of today ?
Evil is evil! Hatred is hatred, regardless on whom the despicable acts are committed, be innocent children, men, women or helpless animals.
Think about that for a moment. What is the true essence of your heart?
How evil your heart must be to even post such ungodly comments ?
STOP your cruel acts of hatred towards innocent animals, it's no different in God's eyes than committing them against fellow human beings.
STOP posting such evil thoughts on the site as well ! Surely a sufficient amount of people around you must already know your level of ignorance without you publicizing it on the internet.
Educate yourself to the beauty of the Godly design of such beautiful creatures as the cat.
My suggestion to the haters of precious life, be it human or animal, is to go to any church and sit there alone and quietly for awhile and open yourself to the Lord and allow the Hand of God that once touched your very soul at birth, to now caress your heart.
Repent, repair and make up for your wrong doings, ten fold. Go out and sin no more.
In memory of our Lord Jesus.
Sincerely,
Angel of animals.

I couldn't agree more, evil was present in the words of the people that wrote that. I have three animals, two cats and a dog, that are integral in our family. we love them dearly, they are part of our family. all life is precious in God's eyes, the blessings of having domestic animlas in our families and homes is a special gift from God. The end.

Cat BraisÚ

----------
1 cat cut in serving-sized pieces dusted in flour with salt and pepper

1/4 c. extra virgin olive oil

6 artichokes

2 1/4" thick slices of slab bacon, diced

1 small sweet onion, diced

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 carrot, diced

1 lemon

3 small tomatoes, peeled, seeded, and diced

1/2 c. dry white wine

2-4 c. homemade chicken broth

garni of 4 flat parsley stems, 6 leafy thyme branches, 1 bay leaf tied up with kitchen twine Salt and pepper

1/4 c chopped flat-leaf parsley (optional)

----------

Snap the leaves off the artichokes until only the tender inner leaves remain. Snap off the stem. Trim the remaining green bits from the bottom of the artichoke, and cut off the inner leaves in a bunch at the point where they are very tender. Pare the tough green outer layer off the remaining stem, pairing the stem into a point. Now cut the artichoke bottom into quarters and remove the choke with a sharp knife from each quarter. Rinse to remove any traces of foin ("hay") and drop them into a bowl of water acidulated with the juice of half a lemon.
Heat 2 T olive oil in a large heavy casserole or Dutch oven. Dredge the cat pieces in seasoned flour, shaking off excess. Brown over medium heat, turning regularly, until golden on all sides. Remove cat pieces to a plate and dump any oil remaining in the pan. Add 1 T of the remaining oil and the bacon dice.(Omit bacon if you only have access to the thin-sliced vacuum packed supermarket variety.) SautÚ until cooked but not "crisp". Add the remaining T of oil and the onion and carrot. Saute for 5 minutes, then add the artichoke quarters and the garlic, stir one minute, and add the tomatoes and the white wine. Turn up the heat and reduce until syrupy, stirring constantly, for about 5 minutes. Lay the bouquet garni on top of the vegetables. Arrange the cat pieces on top, together with any juice accumulated in the plate.
Pour in enough broth to come halfway up the sides of the cat pieces. Cover and bring to a simmer. Continue to simmer over very low heat about 1 hour or cook in the oven at 350 degrees for the same amount of time. The cat should be just tender and part readily from the bone. Don't overcook or it will become dry. Check the liquid level frequently and add more broth if necessary. Turn the cat pieces once.
When done, remove the cat pieces to a warm platter and arrange the vegetables, removed with a slotted spoon, around them. Cover and keep warm. Strain the remaining pan juices into a smaller saucepan and reduce over high heat, skimming frequently, until reduced by 1/3. Pour over the platter and serve immediately. Sprinkle with finely chopped flat-leaf parsley if you like.

What did she expect on here? Did she think people would read what she wrote and say "Oh. I am so sorry I said that. I will repent of my evil ways?" Really? Not on Topix. She was looking to stir it up more. She should have let the thread die. Now look - it's ten times worse because people are looking to make a fool of her. Just let it die is the best approach here.

Hey remember that crazy dude in Buffalo who had been pulled over for a traffic violation last year and they found a cat being marinated? Then the genius said it wasn't being marinated and came up with some twisted explanation saying it wasn't marinate but had miscarried?
Now THAT is a serious cat lover to the tenth degree.

Several questions: 1)Do you cut the paws off at the wrist, or below the elbows? 2) Do you bleed the livestock from the neck? 3) What about the liver and heart: any ideas?

That's just a silly question. Everybody knows that you pull the skin from around the middle and up over the head as though you are taking off its shirt and then cut off head and paws.

How evil your heart must be!!
I am so disappointed in you. Look around you, "hmm". Are you part of that evil around us? Do you ever reflect on your words? Do you ever reflects on your thoughts ? Do you ever reflect on the essence of your heart? Why do you speak of such horror ? Face the Lord tonight and ask, "what am I Lord? " Ask, "why do I speak of such cruelty?" "what have I become?" Then listen... listen.... shhhhhh, listen very carefully, don't utter a word, just listen and you will hear an answer. A bit today, a few bits tomorrow, a few bits next week... but listen! Allow the Lord to chat with you... listen.... shhhhhh, He's talking to you now! shhhhhh, listen....
