Sorry, but I'm not letting you change the subject. I responded to a comment about how the President's election was due to "giving uneducated college-aged" kids the right to vote. Then you chimed in with the "bribery" explanation. We were talking about the election and why and how Obama won, not the nation's fiscal policy. I'll debate that on a seperate thread. Now, back to the subject at hand. The election.

Yeah, you're on to a good campaign strategy there, Cliff. Republicans should absolutely continue to blame the electorate for being either stupid, or gullible and open to being bribed into voting for the President. That seems like a great strategy -- if the Republicans never want to occupy the White House. Again. Ever.

Change the subject? Hardly, what is the title of this thread, and read the first post again. I think when I said you are good at spinning I may have under emphasized that point. So let me make it really simple for you you Clyde- W H E R E D O E S T H E M O N E Y C O M E F R O M???? Raise taxes on the middle class, or take all the money from the 2%? Guess what, that won't do it either Clyde. You are not a dumb a** like the previous poster that works for a lock company who goes by the name Mike.

Sure Mike sure. Maybe we could sell some of your locks for say a billion a copy huh? You would only need to sell 1,000 to get rid of 1 of 16.5 trillion. Of course the government is spending at a rate that would never allow you to reach your goal of eliminating the national debt even if you took the military spending to 0!

Obama wants to mint a trillion dollar coin.(this is actually a White House proposal. Yikes!) IF we strike 17 of them we can balance the budget and an eighteenth coin will give us a budget surplus! lol.

But but Clyde you said "you wouldn't allow me to change the SUBJECT" You mentioned nothing about the title did you? I simply put it back on track after you were at a loss on where we could get the money! Objection overruled! Case dismissed!

Correct, I said I wasn't going to let you change the SUBJECT of the exchange we were involved in. The TITLE had nothing to do with it. I'm glad you finally understand.

And you sound like an idiot with the pretend courtroom banter.

Now you really have derailed! Whew! You don't think our fiscal woes are at all tied in with the bribes offered by the President to the electorate, many of whom like Huh from Fredonia have no clue that there is no free ride and that we can not continue to print money.

Our fiscal woes are a direct result of:(1) the 2008 financial collapse; (2) the recession that followed; (2) the reduced tax revenue resulting from #1 and 2; (3) financial bailouts (started by the W Administration (not a criticism, it was necessary) necessitated by #1; (4) stimulus spending to attempt to bring us out of #2; (5) 10 years of war; and (6) escalating health care costs. What's not on that list? "Bribes offered by the President." "Entitlement" spending is a straw man. Yes, it should be reformed. No, it did not cause the current fiscal woes. See #s 1 through 6 for that.

This is outrageous. They cannot get it through their thick skulls that SPENDING is the problem. You can't continue to just take take take from the citizens to feed your spending habit. And Obama wants the debt ceiling raised? He's nuts. Reign in spending, tighten up entitlement programs.
This is what happens when you allow brainwashed undereducated college-aged dimwits the right to vote. And when you allow those who feed off the system to have a vote. The idiots continue to keep the Dems in charge.. this is not going to end without major reform on someone's part. I'm all for taking away the right to vote from welfare recipients and non-landowners. Who stands up for the rest of us? The poor, uneducated, welfare-sucking, dimwits are essentially sticking it to us by re-electing those that want to take what we have and give it to everybody.
