I don't understand how a working person gets screwed on their income taxes but a person on welfare makes out like a bandit.Us working people go to work everyday and lose taxes every week so people on welfare can stay home and collect a check. Then when we file taxes, we lose alot of money because we work and make a living. But people on welfare keep their lazy asses home and file a return so they can use their kids as earned income credits and get thousands of dollars back.I can see welfare if someone needs it to help out in a time of need,,but these lifers are just sucking us working people dry.So Remember "work hard because people on welfare are depending on you"

My biggest complaint for years.......income tax returns should be on money you worked for not had handed to you.......I too am sick of going to work and struggling to make ends meet and other VERY CAPABLE SHIESTERS(SP) HAVE SCREWED US ......JOE TAXPAYER. Ans as far as t he ederly folk that worked ththey try their as...es off to make a living loose everything when they get sick and have to apply for medicaid....they have to jump through hurdles to get help..........other non contributors walk into the office with their money hidden and are handed great sums of money. O and don't forget how they use different names than hubby and their boyfriends that live with them and list a different address to get bennies........crooks!

Remember, before the govt. can (GIVE) anything to anyone. It must take it from someone else. We are not responsible for everyone else! I take of myself and my family . f XXK the rest.

Now here's a great topic for our illustrious governor to take on! Instead of all the cuts in school aid how about some cuts in welfare benefits? This goes for the clown in Washington too! Make these sponges work for what they get! Welfare benefits are for those truly in need and are designed to help them get back on their feet, not for a "twenty-something baby machine" or "baby daddy". And drug testing should be a mandatory requirement.
And the social security disability laws need work too. How sad that a person can work all their life and when they get sick and are approved benefits they have to wait 6 months? Is that how long it takes to go through ones savings and assets?

How about drug testing for welfare. We have to pass a drug screen for jobs.I bet if you drug screen the welfare system we could save a fortune.

i too have no problem with those that TRULEY need help getting back on their feet. i do have a problem with the "career welfare" people who have no intention of working and providing for themselves. this state has the highest per capita cost for welfare, the highest! we are the second highest in taxes! we are close to the top in gasoline taxes and on and on. people move here with the intention of collecting welfare benefits because they know this state is the best place for collecting unearned benefits! the politicians that sit in albany know this and they depend on those that suck us dry to keep them in office. the answer to all this is compound, the percentage of people that vote who work is low,the people who get these unearned benefits is high so therefore the same people who bring you this "redistibution" of wealth stay in power. what is being proposed in washington is nothing more than redistribution of your money and hard work to those to could care less and just want a free ride. people need to wake up and see this for what it is,socialism & communism!!

People on welfare should be made to report their tax refunds to social services....after all....its income.....and be made to turn it over? or else be restricted from benefits until that money is used for several months? they are double dipping the system.

welfare by itself is not considered as gross income and no refund will be given.

I am so glad that someone else really DOES notice this situation--why in the world should anyone get more back in income tax refund than they have actually paid in--i know of many older people who are still working to support themselves and because they do not have children at home any longer will have to PAY to the IRS --therefore have to come up with that money and take away what they have to live on day to day---in one case almost a thousand dollars--the answer being -have more deducted from what they earn weekly-nice-why do the people in our government NOT realize WHY we are haveing money issues and try to correct these actions

sorry I realize that is not the entire money problem our state/country is haveing but is a LARGE part of it I believe--that and the food stamp program where people can purchase chips, pop and candy, and I hear even pre-made sandwiches--the real necessities---would be a good place to start cutting costs

the Government will never do drug testing on welfare recipients because if they do, a lot of them will fail ..and then what are they gonna do just say sorry no welfare
then these sub species will roam the streets robbing us taxpayers ..also there not going to make a rule that is a threat to their job..if there is less people on welfare there is less government employees to push pencils and run the system..they will never come up with a rule that threatens their job,,,the system want people on welfare..its a great job 70,000 a year pension ,vacations

the people in the goverment(lot of them)know but they are being voted in year after year by those that don't care and those that reap the benefits of your hard work! that is why we need term limits for starters. we used to(long ago) have folks like you and i that actually represented us(those of us that are taxpayers). all this started with the "great society" under lyndon johnson and got worse as time went on. both major parties are to blame but mostly the leftist liberals. the tea party movement is a direct result of the frustrations felt by many people like you and i and the results of the massachusetts senate race prove that we can throw the bums out. get involved locally and let your voice be heard.don't think you can't make a difference and don't give up the fight. George Washington and the guys and gals at valley forge faced seemingly insurmountable odds but persevered!!(don't bother emailing schumer by the way,he doesn't respond.)

I think we'll all agree that Social Security Disability "should" be for people who work, become critically ill or disabled and can no longer work. SSDI has been giving these benefits to CHILDREN who are classified special education. This has been going on for the past 10+ yrs. These children have behavior/dicipline issues mainly because of neglect at home. Checks are issued for these kids to the tune of $500.00 a month. Yet our seniors who built this country need to make a choice between groceries or medicine because they don't have enough to go around. Granted, some children are born with serious health issues, Down Syndrome being one. However, once a child is "classified" that remains with them their entire life, so will that check. The sad part is that the money doesn't go to the child, but used to the parent/guardian descretion! Therefore, unless this practice is stopped there will NOT be any left for us working people when we retire.
How's that for a kicker!!

Here is another one for you.If you are on the welfare system the state should only pay for one child then you have the rest for free.I was told by a 23 year old with 5 kids living on welfare that each kid is an extra 600 a month.Ain't that some shit breed to make your checks bigger.Glad i grew up in a working home and was taught the value of get a job and support yourself and your family.

Sad thing is they don't stop with 1 or 2 try 6,7,8 pretty nice paycheck..........and they do no homework with kids....kids dread days off and early release for fear of being hungry and alone. that is very sad. To top the cake they have their live in friends who also have their own incomes..........that go unreported........makes me sick!

I rented to some of these dirt balls, I would go to the building to mow and ask who the hell are all these people? Oh, thats my cousin and thats my nephew, and thats my niece and thats my uncle and thats my aunt etc. etc. Thought I would at least get the rent with the voucher program, but no, all these scum need to do is call their case worker and the rent no longer goes to the landlord it goes straight to them! And then try getting the rent! And if you evict them your looking at a minimum of 3 months for the process all the while this swarm of locusts is trashing the place. Go ahead and sue them, all you get is a useless judgement you will never collect on and in the meantime you have to do thousands of dollars in repairs!
