-Central Ave was shaded by a canopy of Elm trees
-Fredonia State was called "The Normal School"
-intact famlies lived in most homes, the father had a good paying job and the mother stayed at home and cared for her kids
-the was a tap room on every corner
-a dozen corner stores sold Koch's or Jenny to 15 year old kids
-nearly everything you needed could be purchased on Central and Main between Fifth and Second

Rt 60 was a 2 laner again covered by HUGE trees (oak ?) and it was like driving down a tunnel

my mom was at that meet and she thought i was having a heart attack afterwards(kinnda out of breath i was)that was fun,thanks for the memory.

$0.10 hot dogs and $0.05 sodas at Hills during the 4th of July????

The Evening Observer as it was then called cost $0.25 an issue.

You could buy unflavored slurpees for $0.10 each and pretzel sticks at 2 for $0.05 at the convenience store on Central Ave. next to the Big Dipper.

I was usually drinking but Covered Wagon was where Geo Ray is FOR SURE Then it move to some other place and I had moved away by then.
